Lol, exactly. I mean I don't think that it's bad at all that one of the many reasons I've decided I want to be a teacher is because we get summer vacations, as well as all the other major holidays off. I mean we are gonna get paid shit, might as well have a few benefits such as a summer vacation while you are still getting a pay check.

my text book gives the starting and average teaching salary for each state

North Carolina's starting salary is 27k and average is 43k

the highest is Connecticut with the starting being 34k and the average being 56k
