Some idiot was on Gold today talking about how dissapointed he was with NCSU this season, and how Gott is on the hot seat next year if the team doesn't show better ...

We all knew that in year 3/4 he would have little to no upper class-men, but yet some troll thinks his 3rd year is going to be his Hot Seat year?? give me a break.

You people need to stop embarrassing yourself. The fact that we HAVE gone to the NCAA his first two years, and have recruited pretty well solidifies that Gott will remain here through 2016 at the very least. There is no way (outside of shady like things that could happen) that Debbie gets rid of him before that point. It just aint happening.

I wish that we could, as a fan base, make a pact to not be lunatics. People like the guy you're referring to make us look stupid. Did we under perform this year? Sure. Is it OK to be a little disappointed? Of course. But to act like our coach should be on the hot seat next year because we didn't live up to expectations? Crazy talk.

We make the tourney for the 2nd year on a row, a big accomplishment if you look at our schools past few years prior. We won more games than we've won in a season in about 25 years. Another huge accomplishment. We have a team that is frustrating to watch because they have the talent to be better. Previously we had a team that was frustrating to watch because it was either devoid of talent or what little talent we had was maxed out.

Could we play tougher on defense? Sure. But I for one enjoyed watching a team that could score. I'm sure some of you long for the days of 46-44 nail biters, but I'll take a team that scores and is attractive to big time talent any day of the week over those boring low scoring, hold the ball forever and pray we win at the end teams. We're still building something here. Given enough time and a fan base that doesn't push something potentially lasting out the door, we're in a position to have sustained, consistent success we haven't seen since long long ago.

Please, be critical of this team, this coach, and this school. Just do it in a reasonable and rational fashion that doesn't make us look crazy.

I know it's a request that is unlikely to be fulfilled, however, I can at least make the plea and see what happens. If even 1 poster decides to be more rational, then I can feel like I made a difference. If no one changes their mind, then I did nothing but waste a few minutes on TWW.

He won't be fired after next year but the program is in pretty bad shape.

He squandered a good opportunity this year and he lost too many transfers and missed on a few too many recruits.

Where we are as a program is solid. We under performed this year after over performing last year. The truth lies somewhere in the middle. Our recruiting continues to be excellent. The likelihood that we'd land the type of players we've landed the past 2 years after being so tremendously awful in year's prior is a success. face and people that continually talk about how bad of a shape we're in make us look stupid as a whole. Without Ken Pomeroy face wouldn't even have an opinion.
