I lost today in Omaha. flopped a full house and bet the pot all the way to the river. Guy catches runner, runner to get a straight flush.....damn....oh well. And the pot was huge

I was playing a couple days ago with my roomates and some friends. I was down about 75% from where I started. I had two aces and went all in, which in hindsight probably wasnt a good idea because had they all dropped, i wouldnt have gotten shit off the hand. Anyway, two other players went all in, the lead guy who had 2 kings, and a third player who had an ace and a king. They were all kicking themselves, because there was only one card left in the deck to help them beat me and I had just as good of a chance at getting mine. The flop and turn didnt help anyone and I figured I had it, then the bitch got the only king left in deck on the last card. It was messed up I tell you...

so i'm in a tournament with about 12 people left, i have about 4500 chips (almost chip leader)and i get AA. The guy right before me (who has about 300 chips fewer than me) bets 500, so i call with my aces. the flop comes up 4-J-4, so he bets nearly $1000. I call and then he goes all in on the turn and i call him again. Turns out he had two fours and so he beats my aces and basically knocks me out.

Pocket jacks are not better than AA, KK, or QQ. Pocket jacks are much better than AJ. Heads up pockets jacks are about 75% favorite. Also, if you have AJ and the flop is AXY, then anyone with AK, AQ, AX, or AY beats you. But with JJ and the flop comes 10 high, you will almost always win assuming there aren't too many people in.
