Yeah she had a very brief part in a deleted scene in X2. It is on the DVD.

They also showed her briefly when she was in that little underground cell with the children that were captured.

all i know is

this movie, no matter how good it is, better make a shit ton of money, because then they'll keep making them forever, like james bond

i could see it beating superman

aside from a cultural figure, he hasn't really been a superhero to modern kids
and i think for rewatchability as far as kids are concerned, x3 looks more likely

hell, his last movie was like 16 years ago

i really really hope that x3 beats it

^^^^Ha, I forgot about Jubilee, looks like she aged alot since X2 if its the same actress. I think I made the same mistake in X1 or X2 thread, they really shouldn't dress her in ALL purple.

I don't think its a no-brainer that Superman will win out. I don't think in comics Supes has outsold X-men since '75 other than when they killed the sorry bastard off and then only just. Also Smallville might be a double edged sword for a superman movie, they really should have waited for the end of the show.

Superman is too powerful anyway and his villains aren't nearly as diverse as those of the X-Men. It is nice having a "favorite" character in the X-Men series too.

everyone keeps saying they're using the "Gifted" storyline from Astonishing
but you know, this actually seems a lot like some of several "Ultimate" storylines, including one which *probably not a spoiler*, has Rogue running off with Gambit after watching iceman kiss kitty pryde...

so it'd be interesting if there really is a gambit they're trying to keep under wraps...

I think people are jumping straight to the "Gifted" storyline just because of the word "cure" being thrown around. A *HUGE* part of that storyline is Colossus and Kitty, and they're obviously not playing that angle if they're playing the one with Kitty and Iceman. Plus, "Gifted" starts to lead into House of M, and the Kitty/Colossus angle goes back a long way, it's all too much to try and cram into one picture?

I was jumping straight to the "Gifted" line because I read an interview with Joss Whedon a few weeks ago where he talked about it being a nice compliment that they had decided to base a lot of the movie on his story. Also another big part of that storyline is the team dealing with the death of jean, which fits in rather nicely. The introduction of Beast is also telling as his reaction to the cure was a critical part of that storyline.

I think that the scene with Iceman/Kitty is another herring like the funeral, if you watch it again it doesn't look like its a necessarily "romantic" scene it would depend on what happens immediately before or after that hug, he could perhaps be comforting her after something happens to Collosus. And if you're going to have Kitty/Collosus why would you have to cram it all in one movie? You have to start it at some point.

I think they can take elements of gifted without worrying about House of M.
