Mercedes-Benz has begun a search for one of its employees in Spain, who vandalised the Wikipedia entry on Lewis Hamilton, the company told autosport.com. This is the best one...

All of the good drivers seem to be except Kimi. Hes soft spoken and not very press friendly. Alonso definitely is, and Schumi seemed to be at times. 10/11/2007 8:34:20 PM |

apparently Lewis had to make it known he was going to visit Senna's grave. In the past, drivers have done it in private because it's such a personal and usually emotional event. 10/11/2007 9:05:31 PM |

there is no question he is good
I think one of the problems is there is so much attention on him, and he is a rookie, he just doesn't know exactly how to handle everything. Its like he is in the spotlight TOO much. Even Schumacher wasn't in the press that much off the track - very private. Its like Hamilton is asking to find attention almost, like a Hollywood type. 10/12/2007 7:41:14 AM |

I've watched every race this year and have kept up w/ a share of the gossip. All the attention is on him because he's a statistical marvel. He deserves it. Cocky? no shit, this is F1. Competitive? no shit, this is F1. Aggressive? no shit, this is F1. He's all of the above, but still hasnt shown near the degree Schumi did. ie, this is nothing new from a champion.
Some say he's fake, but he seems like a decent enough kid to me. He mentions "team" every other word. He thanks everyone. You saw in the last race when he got stuck and came him how he interacted w/ the crew. You can tell it wasnt the first time. Have you ever seen another driver come in and say hi to all the crew and sit w/ them?
Alonso's a whiny little shit and has been since before Hamilton came around. Kimi's ok, but whats to like or not to like about the guy? He's a freaking robot. He could disappear and itd be weeks before anyone'd notice. hah 10/12/2007 9:18:37 AM |

he used two sets of extreme wet tires during p1 today, breaking a rule about using only one set. In the past this would result in at least some penalty (1/2 sec, or 5 spots, etc) but instead the team got fined $15k. 10/19/2007 7:28:56 PM |

no, not his fault, but that doesn't mean drivers haven't been penalized for team violations before, like when ralf got a 1/2 second penalty in qualifying for using an unapproved tire. 10/19/2007 10:16:17 PM |

Hamilton almost threw it all way with his early bonehead move.
McLaren finished the job with the electrical problems.
Alonso threw it away by not chasing after Raikkonen hard.

Whiney McLaren seems to appeal the case of Williams and BMW.
Why can't they accept the truth that Raikkonen won the Brazil GP and the 2007 Driver's Campionship!?!?!?!?
Hamilton made his own mistake, and his machine had toubles. It's not about whether BMW and Williams had fuel with lower temperature or not. The results would be the same.

It's not that McLaren fine cut in half. They offset the fine with the prize money they earned during the 2007 season.
McLaren officially appealed the case of BMW and Williams. Alonso and Hamilton are against about the appeal. Ron Dennis is so whiney and stupid! 10/24/2007 11:38:11 PM |
