i hate the bobcats, but b/c i'm from NC (and charlotte) i want to like them
BUT FUCK
give it up with the UNCCH guys in the draft. how's sean may working out? felton? they took both of those shitheads in the first round. now they draft a project?! no lets not get someone who can have an immediate impact, possibly help get this team into the playoffs (when all they need in the eastern conf is to get to .500!!!!) but instead lets draft a lanky bean-pole lookin fuck who carries half his weight in his ears. they could've at least traded for a veteran. looks like i won't be watching any bobcats games this year, either. 6/28/2007 8:53:44 PM |

and the bobcats have traded emeka okafor, walter hermann, and matt carroll to UNC for the rights to players for the next 5 years, with an option for a 6th and 7th year 6/28/2007 9:02:55 PM |

felton's doin pretty good... even may has put up excellent numbers when he's actually able to play. his problem is his being injury prone.6/28/2007 9:05:48 PM |
whtmike2k All American 2504 Posts user info edit post |
so he's been injury prone. which, to me, for a team which desperately needs to win to get fans back in its city after blowing millions of dollars of taxpayers' money on an arena which the majority did not want, is not gonna cut it for a 1st round draft pick (#13 at that!).

did anyone notice that jordan didn't give an interview? i wonder if that has anything to do with them contemplating a trade and not wanting to throw wright under the bus. it could happen right? 6/28/2007 10:01:32 PM |

i can't believe they passed on reyshawn terry. hell lets see what david noel is doing these days.
honestly though, as much as i hate dudley (which is a LOT), i think he'll have a more immediate impact than wright. which ain't saying much 6/28/2007 10:02:12 PM |

If they keep Dudley, it should all but assure May is on the way out. They're nearly identical players -- May's a little better on the inside, and Dudley on the outside, but still very similar. 6/28/2007 10:06:51 PM |

you know, we could have done worse
with Brewer gone, who could we have gotten without getting killed by all the experts?
Thornton would be a reach at 8
and the media and experts dont care that they keep drafting unc guys, they think its funny, but not an issue
I think Wright was a steal there, but not what we needed, but i mean i dont know if Noah would have been much better.
Im so confused 6/28/2007 10:07:41 PM |

Assuming we can resign Wallace, we have to LEGIT wings to run with Felton.
Felton Richardson Wallace Herrmann/May Okafor
Still pretty weak at PF, but damn they'd be fun to watch 6/28/2007 10:50:52 PM |

The announcers got it right. you don't trade big for small unless it's a REAL talent, and Richardson definitely isn't. We have hermann and caroll to shoot the ball from outside(and for a helluva lot cheaper too). keep the guy who can rebound and play defense. 6/28/2007 10:52:17 PM |

they want to sell tickets
maybe they learned the home crowd doesnt necessarily want to see players theyve seen in nearby college already

Felton Richardson/Morrison Wallace Herrmann/May Okafor
This should be a really good running team. Morrison/May off the bench for good scoring. I love Okafor but I'm just not sold that he is the type of Center that fits into the bobcats system. 6/28/2007 11:12:17 PM |

the problem i see with this is richardson is basically gerald wallace with less defense. neither shoot particularly if i remember correctly, but they're both slashers that can get to the basket. we can run, but hows the half court gonna look? 6/28/2007 11:24:29 PM |
Maverick1024 All American 4866 Posts user info edit post |
Richardson is actually a good/great 3-point threat. Agreed his defense is nowhere near Wallace, but Wallace's shot is nowhere near Richardson's. 6/28/2007 11:28:44 PM |

wow.
love the J-Rich pick up, he's a 26 year old guy that can go out and get you 30 on any given night. 35% 3-point shooter who can go in and jam it in your grill.
I'm a little worried about our Brezec-Voskuhl-Hollins three headed mouse at Center. Are there any free agent Centers out there?
Dudley can be productive.
I am pleased with the draft, though I wish we coulda traded away Sean May and some others to get Richardson instead of Wright who could have been the added rebounding presence that we could use.

Jermareo Davidson killed us here in Raleigh, I sadly remember, and could be a legit NBA big.hit
