Laurel Market is pretty good. IMO the Common Market in plaza central is much better. They have an all day deli, beer on draft, big wine and beer selection, outside patio and music. You can buy a six pack and take it outside and drink it. Pretty awesome.7/25/2009 3:03:49 PM |

Quote : | "RALEIGH -- If the state number crunchers are correct, Wake County has become the most populous county in the state, elbowing aside Mecklenburg, its long-proud cousin to the southwest. " |
Quote : | "Wake is bigger than Mecklenburg - 832 square miles versus 526, according to the 2000 Census - and is less economically dependent on the financial sector. Wake's population numbers had been nipping at Mecklenburg's for years, and when the economy took a downturn, so did Americans' mobility." |
Quote : | "And in terms of metro areas, Charlotte's is definitely bigger. July 2009 census estimates show the Charlotte-Gastonia-Salisbury Combined Statistical Area is home to 2.39 million people. The Raleigh-Durham-Cary area, which includes Chapel Hill, has 1.74 million." |

i wonder how they came up with Quote : | "July 2009 census estimates show the Charlotte-Gastonia-Salisbury Combined Statistical Area is home to 2.39 million people" |
if there are 909,493 people in mecklenburg, then there are 1.5 million in gastonia and salisbury. i don't see that
all of gaston county has 200k in the 2000 census and rowan county had 130k
[Edited on July 19, 2010 at 10:05 PM. Reason : i demand a recount]
oic. wikipedia says it's like 16 counties or something.
