Just a box or two man. I finally picked up that cheap hi-point I mentioned to you in our CCW PM and I want to put some rounds through it. Sorry I wasn't able to commit to this month's class though -- such a hectic work week. How often do you run them?

I have some assorted .357. I think 2-3 rounds of snake shot, 2-3 rounds of HP, and then maybe 25-30 rounds of regular FMJ. I want to trade for some .308, 30-30 or some (preferably) .223/5.56.

Let me know what you have, and how much you are willing to trade. I would like to have 40rnds of .308 in trade, 30-40rnds of 30-30, and maybe 50rnds of 5.56.

375 rounds of Wolf .223 for sale.

I've had this stuff for a while, but I'm just not shooting it because of how dirty it runs. It's functional, and it's fine if you don't mind spending an hour cleaning after a range session. But I do mind.

.20/round for the whole thing. That's $75 for those who don't do math.

I'm in Durham, but I come through Raleigh occasionally.

About 200 rounds of it are loose, the rest are in the original 20 round boxes.

I pay 5 each at Eds down near Fayetnam, I just pick through and pull the ones with low rust/no major dents, etc. I normally rattle can them with 1-2 coats of rustoleum, grey primer then a black or red top coat or matte enamel.

Anyone know about prvi partizan? I bought a box of 9mm Luger JHP to keep around as personal defense, but I'm starting to think I should have just spent the extra coin on a smaller box of gold dot or hydra-shok. Thoughts?

from the test data and pictures i've seen, gold dots are hard to beat. a box or two should last years. shoot a magazine or two of your HP defense ammo to make sure your gun feeds them ok and then hopefully you don't have to shoot them again. i would've spent the dough.

The bullets used in the Prvi loads don't look all that great. The cavities are small so they probably don't open up. I would guess that they're also conventional construction so if they did open up they'd shed their jackets.

Agreed. If you have a 9mm then pick up some of the 124gr Gold Dots.
Lawmen's has the best deal; 50 rnd boxes for around $25. You can find them online for that price sometime at ammunitiontogo.com or sgammo.com

Seriously though...if it's for self defense it's worth a couple extra bucks to test the reliability in your gun.
Some people say you need to shoot 200+ rounds before being confident. I think you just need to use common sense.
If you have a popular gun that has a track record of being reliable with that particular load (google it) then a few mags would do. If you cant find any info on people using your particular gun/load combo then spend the extra money and shoot a few boxes to confirm the reliability yourself.

^^, ^x4 Pretty much exactly what I've come to realize. $25/50 makes me feel a little better about "wasting" $18 on 50ct instead of spending ~$25 on 20. I'll definitely check out Lawmen's the next time I'm in Raleigh. I also read that the ammo isn't too terrible but that the HPs probably aren't opening up as you said.

^ x3 & ^ x5 i took a deer one year w/ a .45 ACP 230 grain Golddot in the course of processing the deer i recovered the round. i was very impressed w/ the weight retention and complete expansion of the round. I don't know how another round would have performed but i DO know that i am completely confident with the ammo i choose to carry.

Anyone looking for any 9mm? I've mosty got WWB's, but think I have quite a bit of Georgia Arms(?) 9mm bulk ammo too.

Not sure what it's going for at Walmart but I'll go $2 cheaper/box than they're selling it for?

I've been gone for 6 months. Is ammo still expensive and scarce?

Also, I'll be home in a couple of weeks or so. in anyone wants some .45 acp gold dots, i'll trade them for range ammo at a 1:2 ratio.
