I always found that to be amusing... you're upbringing limited who you can grow feelings towards?

Everyone has there own physical attraction preferences (brunette/blonde, big/small, tits/ass, etc, etc, whatever)... but I can't imagine ever not giving someone a chance because of their race. I don't know... maybe I'm in the minority.

Or are you ONLY physically attracted to white guys (for instance)?

^^ You know, he asked me and I was honest. Just because you don't understand it doesn't really matter to me -- it's the way I feel. I've seen some attractive looking black guys but when it comes down to it, I just don't think I would feel comfortable being with one. And I'm not saying I would never be able to find someone who wasn't my same race that was a good match but it really doesn't matter because I'm already with someone (who happens to be white, go figure, guess that's my typical southern self) who is a great match for me so.... Besides, as far as being attracted to people in a relationship sense goes, I've only been attracted to white guys.

^ Eric's right, it is a southern thing, so sue me. I was brought up that way and now I feel that way so I really don't care what anyone thinks about it.

Just a FYI, I'm not bashing you for your opinion. Just trying to get some insight in to how peoples minds work... it's interesting the differences between thinking/upbringing in different parts of the country.

I'm the same as Samwise, word for word. I actually have found a few black guys attractive in my day, but because of the way I was brought up, I don't think I could ever actually date one (or be physical with one). Of course that is all moot now because I'm married...to a white guy!

^8 .. K just making sure that wasn't an attack. Although I will say, my mom isn't so crazy as to totally disown me if I ever did date someone of a different race. My stepdad however.. I'd be scared at first... but I don't think he would disown me either... I feel my mom is pretty open to things. I'm not even going to go into what my Miss/GA relatives would say.

i was raised in the south and i do not think this way. my family is also super southern but i'm not sure how they'd react. but i wouldn't care how they reacted anyway! i mean i care what they think, but not if they get all upset over something petty.

i'm pretty sure my grandmothers would die if i had a boyfriend of a different race. don't ask me why. but they would. one is super southern, one is from illinois but she is like a born again southerner or something haha.

my dad would also probably be mad.

i can totally understand not wanting to do it, but like you said, you wouldn't like call your friends out or like look down on them. that is the part i don't get

Nah, I had Relay For Life that night... Honestly, the only time I've been to the house this semester was last night and that was only to say happy birthday to Julia. There seemed to be a lot of young whores there and then this one kid tried talking shit about me and Nadia (when we walked by) saying that we were "random people" showing up... He got the wrath And they got rid of the bar -- dunno what that's all about....
