It's the most mild I've had in terms of fruitiness in a blueberry influenced beer. Even my dad drinks it and he complains about anything that isn't domestic.

However 420 is a EPA, so not even close to this.

^^^ nah, but I'm not really that big on most Sam Adams beers. I would prefer to stick to microbrews like Aviator and CBC, but it's not as easy away from Raleigh. No brewery tours and excuses to get drunk at noon on Saturday.

^ I'm saying it's not in the same class as general domestic beers in a restaurant.

I wish Rogue would drop their prices, but a Double Dead Guy is about enough to lay me out. I don't drink in large quantity anymore.

what do you think? Roughly 5 Natural Lights in a single bottle?

Anybody here still shotgun? Seems like most retire from it when they graduate, but I still says its the best way to enjoy your first 2, 3, or 4 beers of the night

I am unable to shotgun

I would if I could though, because I drink so slow it's just ineffective

^^ I'm the same way, but I also am on meds; binge drinking isn't the best on narcs.

^ are you serious? Do you also spill drinks when using a glass? I guess this is a question for fluids.

While it certainly is produced in America, the term domestic generally refers to Bud, Miller and Coors products because of pricing in stores/restaurants.

yeah, I really like their beers but their pricing is outrageous and they don't freshness date their bottles so I have a hard time buying them most of the time. I really wanted to try the Double Mocha Porter, but I'm not paying $13 for it.

if you thought Glissade was hoppy then either A) you didn't have Glissade or B) your definition/sensitivity toward hoppy is off. Glissade is incredibly balanced, if not more toward the malt side of the spectrum.

^^ I've never had a problem with Rogue not being fresh, but have with larger breweries. However I do buy from the clearance isle of Total Wine

i guess maybe hoppy isn't the word? i dunno, the flavor was too strong for me. i am a fan of hefeweizens so the Glissade was definitely not something i enjoyed.

definitely, I think people that don't know a whole lot about beer assume any flavors that they find offensive or unpleasant are hops related because they know they don't like hoppy beers. Malty beers aren't for everyone.

Rogue is pretty big dude, distributed to all 50 states...they aren't Budweiser or Sam Adams big but they are one of the biggest craft breweries. Also, I'm sure you've had old Rogue beer you probably just didn't recognize it as old because you've never had it really fresh.

i'll totally agree with this statement. perhaps i don't like malty beers either

until about 4 months ago, all i ever drank was Miller Lite. now i spend two hours a month (and probably $40-50 a visit) in Total Wine browsing the beers. i've tasted all sorts of crazy stuff, and now i rarely drink Miller Lite

What a powerful little can. When I cracked it open it was like someone just opened a bag of dank weed. Tons of floral and fruit smells. Malty, fruits, yum. 10% and 100 IBU's

I found Sweetwater at the Pinehurst Lowes Foods this weekend. I was like walking with Blue and 420 in each hand. I wish they would sell it in Greenville, Raleigh has had it on tap forever.
