The King of Kong was pretty fucking interesting for a documentary about classic gamers trying to beat each others world records.

There are so many foreign movies that I do want to see, but I absolutely loathe watching movies with subtitles. Damn it...

the only problem with subtitles is you can't watch it while doing something else. You have to sit down and just watch the movie.

it took me a few episodes to get into the story/characters, but i think it's watchable. i, too, didn't get the whole hype, but i didn't think it was bad.

(this would be d7freestyler)

First season of Weeds sucked, second and third were awesome, season four (or whenever after the fire) was lame and I gave up

Yeah, I didn't start the second season until a few months after I had watched the first. I only came back because I had nothing else to watch, but it gets really good for a few seasons.

[Edited on July 20, 2010 at 9:26 PM. Reason : Damned United was solid, nothing spectacular, well-acted]

I looked through the past few pages so I do apologize if this is a repost. But Zombieland is in there and dude it is amazing. My wife and I watched it for the first time and loved it dearly.

ahaha. i'm basically watching it (weeds) bc there isn't anything else i wanna watch (/fall asleep to - there's plenty i want to watch but this is pretty mindless and easy to follow and not super amazing so i won't stay up later than i should watching).

also can i just say i'm angry that party down is no longer on instant watch? I WASNT FINISHED YET

oh, but its good to know weeds picks up for a season or two. i dunno if i'll make it that far but we'll see

Yeah, I was perturbed. I went to see that in the theater and then the next day it came out on Instant. It was good though.

Weeds is awesome. But the first two or three episodes are a little slow...character and plot development is what I attribute it to. I would say that the first three seasons of Weeds could maybe be my favorite seasons of any TV series. It starts getting a little ridiculous in seasons 4 and 5...but still entertaining.

Starting to watch Ken Burns' The War about WWII. Never saw any of it before but I loved his previous documentaries (at least The Civil War and Baseball -- which is debuting a new Inning 10 on 9/28 on PBS.. can't wait).

for some reason i'm still watching weeds. what a bad show

season 2 and the first half of season 3 were decent, i guess.

why do i keep watching this? because even though i don't think it is a fantastic show i still want to know what happens darn it.

just cried like a little girl at the john smith episode of this american life. (season 2, episode 5 i think) I love TAL but I know some people are turned off by the hipsterness of it, this particular episode is nothing like that.

also top gear seasons 10 and 11 are on instant watch.

i need something new to watch. i finished all 5 seasons of weeds haha

i just tried to watch episode 1 of the first season of nip/tuck and it didn't hold my attention

i also watched like 20 minutes of a documentary, mario's story, which got great reviews but was really really slow

suggestions? for a tv show (or movie). but i like tv shows/miniseries because they hold my attention better. there seem to be some interesting miniseries on there but i don't really know.

halp!

^^ i keep seeing that recommended for me. perhaps i should start that.

i also want to watch season 1 of the xfiles but eric said it would be too scary for me. maybe if i was alone but i have my dad and dog to protect me! haha. cause my dad totally wakes up when fireworks go off at 2AM and my dog totally barks when people come to the door instead of running up and licking them to death

it says it recommends it to me because i like six feet under

just because dead people are in both doesn't mean i will like it

i wish six feet under was on instant watch. i want to rewatch that whole series. eric and i did it via netflix the first time and it was so hard to wait for the next disc to arrive every time. best show everrrrr.

totally. I don't get into too many tv shows on there.. I'll watch an episode of arrested development every now and then but mostly just to fall asleep to. I hate how local favorites for my town are Nascar and Ron White: They Call Me Tater Salad
