Bruce Pearl is going to lose $2 mil in compensation and won't be allowed to recruit off campus until September of next year because of the NCAA violations.

^^Where is the source on that punishment? The only thing that is official is that the NCAA has sent a Letter of Inquiry about possible improper contact with recruits. That's it right now anyway.

I stand corrected. I just saw this article right after I posted.

Ouch this really hurts UT and Pearl. I hope this doesn't destroy all the progress he has made with the BBall program. And, Calipari is sitting up there at UK cheating his balls off and nothing happens to him.

Is that a joke?? Have you read up on this guy's past?? He's no Calipari, but he hasn't been around long enough to develop that kind reputation. Looks like he's well on his way though.

^

That just shows you that Cal knows how to cheat better. Pearl might get there someday if teams keep giving him jobs.

CJ Leslie's slight height advantage over Tracy Smith is all in the neck.

In fact, Tracy's shoulders appear to be slightly higher than CJ's, but dude has about 3 extra inches of neck height.

I like the love we are getting- but once again, like any other season, I'll believe it when I see it (although, I must admit - I do have a good feeling about state's bball program this year)

Since I first attended State, Smith has been #4

1) Hodge
2) Atsur
3) Brackman (better memories from freshman year)
4) Smith

Wilson is a very impressive young man, but Hodge's personality is infectious and we're a basketball school so the nod goes to him.

^ lol as in Dajuan Morgan? You must be smoking crack, and not even including Hodge on the list is pretty fucking weak. You should probably go back to spelling etcetera wrong and pretending it was intentional.

My favorite Marcus Melvin moment was the phantom intentional foul against Matt Freije in the tournament. Also when he was arrested for choking his girlfriend.

hodge wasn't there when I was in school or he would've been #3 behind rivers and wilson. Hodge was good but people make too much out of him sometimes. He was a star but he wasn't the complete talent type of star. Hodge got us to the sweet 16 as a ten seed and thats the highest he took us. not impressive. It was a lot harder from him to take over a game than guys like harden. He was more of a system guy that got a lot of garbage points.

If you weren't in school when Hodge played, your freshman year was, at the earliest, 05-06. Which means you were likely less than year old when Corch and Monroe went to the Sweet 16. Sorry I didn't do the math earlier. I was obviously way off.

Where is Twista with his picture?

And "in my lifetime" we won a National Championship. But regardless, Ernie's point stands. Hodge has done more for the modern Wolfpack than any other basketball player we've had. Short of a Final Four that won't change any time soon.

yeah Ernie, obviously you don't know what you're talking about.

you should go back and watch games from 2002-05 and see how overrated Hodge was.

Could one of you clarify when a lifetime begins please? Since you don't seem to think when you were a two year old is part of your lifetime.
