somebody on PP made a good point that players in the national spotlight like them probably aren't going to just jump on Twitter and commit just because Gott showed up in a chopper. I wouldn't be surprised if they announce a presser for Friday or something and have their family, coaches, etc. there to publicly acknowledge.

sounds like a good idea but it's going to be really difficult to see. the Red/White game has a decent turnout in PNC but add to it the 60k+ fans that will already be there for the football game and I just don't know how it'll work unless you're courtside or have what I imagine to be a really limited number of bleacher passes.

great for recruiting, bad for fans - but I'll take the former.

Just wondering. I think we're all assuming Cat's going to go pro after this year. But what if Cat has a down year this year, isn't ready to go pro and wants to come back next year? With Dennis Smith Jr coming, are we pretty much telling Cat this is your last year no matter what, or could they exist together if Cat wanted to return? Could this turn into another Russell Wilson situation, with Cat graduating early and going on to play for someone else? I assume Dennis Smith wouldn't sign with us unless he was sure it'd be his team, and if a senior Cat was there, that wouldn't necessarily be the case.

Can't really compare that unlikely scenario to RW/Glennon. There's one QB on the field at a time. Gott could easily play Cat and DSJ each 30+ minutes per game.

I seriously doubt cat is going to graduate in 3 years. Russell did it in 4. Glennon did it in 3. They both redshirted, so they could take more classes instead of working out (plus Glennon knew he wasn't playing for 2 years after that).

We're lucky Cat stayed this year. He has a kid, he'll absolutely be looking to get paid next year whether it's the NBA or overseas, doesn't really matter.

Hoping he has a huge year and gets drafted though, would look good to have our last 2 star PGs drafted before DSJr makes it 3 in a row.

very interested to see how this year plays out. Role players are gonna need to be integral parts of the team and major contributors this year. No more giving the ball to Lacey or Warren and getting out of the way.
