^^yeah i think him playing at TCU has to be a part of this decision. but also, i think Pitt has a new (new-ish?) AD and Pitt has kinda stagnated the last couple years in bball. so maybe, like you said, him thinking he had kinda hit his ceiling with Pitt and looking for a change of scenery. from the few Pitt people i see on twitter, they don't seem to be too upset with it...kinda like the Dixon era had simply run its course.

^^ Dixon has some pretty solid teams back in the day. The Dejuan Blair one is that I remember the best. Had them at #1 at some point too. He broke a random record that Everett Case held IIRC.

yep. they never made it past the Elite 8 (probably part of the fans' frustration) but he had 2 #1 seeds and 1 #2 seed.

Was out to dinner with a Pitt alum last night who said that he's hearing that they are going to get Sean Miller

he also said that he heard Gottfried is on the hot seat and will get canned for Archie Miller

He was ecstatic about Dixon leaving, sounded very similar to what we were saying about Sendek not being able to lead us to a championship despite several good teams and NCAA tourney appearances every year
