The "skewing" argument makes no sense because the people voting are US Citizens. That "skewing" argument was probably used when people argued women and black people should not have the right to vote because they'd "vote against the established people." Of course they would - the established people were sexist and racist.

But more importantly, the argument that they "skew" that way because they are poor and more likely to be uneducated and on welfare is unfounded based on the data that's out there.

If 100 births occur every year and 2 of them are "anchor babies" and 98 of them are births to "normal" US citizens, then the births aren't skewing anything. And then if you consider that the number born to poor/uneducated circumstances out of the 98 is far greater than the same number out of the 2, you have even less of an argument on the "skew" basis.
