Yeah if you are like actually college aged (<25), that's cool. I just assume everyone here is over 30 at this point, because some of these fucks are closer to 60 than 20. We're basically pack pride now.

It's also nice that the school seems to have gotten over their mid-00s/10s phase of stopping field storming at all costs by surrounding the field with a shit ton of cops/security with large containers of pepper spray and zip tie handcuffs.

^ I'm not sure if the school is totally over it yet. I was at the Louisville game and remember them upping the cop count as the end of game got closer. Dave said he was ok with it (and any fine) in an interview, so maybe it could be more common?

I think this is the first game with a field rush since the 2002 FSU win where the students tore the goal posts down

Yeah after that they installed goalposts that could be quickly taken down and upped the on-field security at the end of games to effectively end rushing the field. Also they videotaped the student section during the game so they could go back and identify people.

I was a student for the 2012 win over FSU…they wouldn’t let us rush. Had security guards every 10’ with handcuffs and pepper spray (maybe tasers, idk) basically daring us to rush. I didn’t take the bait.

We’ve only played 1 ACC game so there’s a lot left for us to fuck up. But Wake is already 2-0 in the ACC and they get UL this weekend. We gotta take care of business and there’s a long way to go. But a UL win would probably be the thing to root for.

Just got back from the game... It was a beautiful night. Crowd was okay for La Tech, and did a good job of making noise when they had the ball (even when it wasn't third down!)
