I don’t see how the spa did anything wrong since they do work with transgender people who are post op. It almost seems closer to an ADA style issue where businesses have to have “reasonable accommodations” and this business couldn’t reasonably accommodate this person given their services.

I’m for it, in fact I think it’s the only way forward to a stable and coherent immigration system. But it pays to go review the “Comprehensive Immigration Reform” battle during Obama’s presidency. Complicated and lengthy pathways to citizenship became AMNESTY FOR CRIMINALS!! Billions allocated to border security upgrades became OPEN BORDERS WILL LET IN ISIS!! The media thoughtlessly reported this back and forth without analysis, like always. You could propose a comprehensive package tomorrow and I bet 1/4 of congressional Dems would take extraordinary convincing to get to a Yes vote.

What I’m trying to say is there are much easier issues to tackle that stand a much higher chance at success.

I question if it’s even possible for Dems to regain trust on immigration. It’s been decades of GOP messaging. Which caters to American’s natural Id toward “non-white foreigners.” You’d have to break up any legislation piece meal, you couldn’t package it, too easy to attack a package. It would literally consume an entire year and spend all your political capital making it happen.

I'm wondering if the dislike of israel is enough for tucker/owens wing of repubs to unite with AOC wing of dems. Since they agree on like nothing else. Lets say we are a 50/50 country. And tucker/owens wing is like 35% of repubs and AOC wing is like 40% of dems

So thats 17.5 + 20, so 37.5% for that block, which leaves 32.5% of the electorate for GOP, and 30% for dems. So theoretically the block could have enough to get the most votes and be a viable 3rd party...but the question is would they look the other way on everything other than israel
