If that's legit, aren't there only supposed to only like a hundred blood elves left? I was hoping the horde would get ogres.

well if they lack creativity in the blood elves then they make up for it with the possibilities involving outlands 10/28/2005 1:29:16 PM |

I am curious where they established that the dark portal leads anywhere other than Draenor...
I will assume its the frozen throne, which I havent finished. 10/28/2005 1:34:27 PM |

dreanor is a portal world, the "dark portal" connects azeroth to dreanor but there are potentially other portals on dreanor (outlands) that lead to other worlds that the burning legion are ravaging 10/28/2005 1:49:36 PM |

Quote : | "The scattered wastes of Outland are all that remain of Draenor, the once beautiful homeworld of the orcs. Following the Second War, the Alliance invaded Draenor by crossing through the Dark Portal. To their horror, they discovered that Ner'zhul - the dark warlord of Horde - had constructed a series of new gateways that could lead the beaten Horde to newer, unspoiled worlds. As the Alliance forces closed in around him, Ner'zhul opened his gateways as a means of escape. However, the gateways' clashing energies resulted in a catastrophic explosion that ultimately ripped the world of Draenor apart. Nearly thirteen years later - towards the end of the Third War - the fallen night elf, Illidan, discovered that huge chunks of Draenor still existed - floating upon the astral winds of the Twisting Nether. After his defeat at the hands of the evil Prince Arthas, Illidan fled to the remnants of Draenor and dubbed them Outland. He quickly seized control of the chaotic region and sealed the last of Ner'zhul's cursed gateways.
Though he is the undisputed ruler of the ravaged land, Illidan lives in fear that he will be discovered by his powerful enemies - most notably Arthas, the new Lich King, and the remaining Lords of the Burning Legion. Currently, Outland is home to a number of scattered draenei tribes, primitive orcs and the powerful, arcane creatures of the Nether itself. Agents of the Burning Legion have also targeted the region as a vital strategic location in their unending Burning Crusade to scour all life from the universe. " |

Most of the race starting cinematics talk about you're one of a few of a race left or one of a few defending your homeland (the rest are waging war, or making digs in the case of the dwarves). So it's not really a problem that ALL the remaining blood elves come from one place and now join the Horde.10/28/2005 2:29:16 PM |

they should be able to speak darnassian. that would be bad ass if night and blood elves could talk to each other cross-faction. 10/28/2005 2:40:27 PM |

I want them to open the maelstrom up so I can go down there and kill queen Azshara.
If its actually a Darnassian language, bloodelves wouldnt know what that is would they. They peaced out long before Darnassus I believe.

^^^ in this game, items get soulbound whenever you wear them (some are when you pick them up). That solves a lot of D2 problems with ppl making new characters and having great items. Also, no one rushes (excect whiney ppl) and you don't skip quests.

Depending on your crafts though, it may be worthwhile to do it for the Argent Dawn faction. If you care about the recipes they sell, it's best to do as much as humanly possible in Plaguelands, Strat and Scholo before you hit 60. Once you're 60, you no longer get faction for regular undead mobs that aren't in instances, so you want to get as far into your AD faction as you can from doing the quests in Andorhal, EPL, etc. 10/29/2005 2:08:51 PM |
