actually

i've got a free roundtrip booked to portland in mid december, and was going to see a friend.

she bailed, and the free southwest flight expires relatively soon.

the only other options around the holidays were slim, so i'm going to keep the portland flight

so right now the plan is set at

philly->portland friday
stay at the westin
microbrewery bus tour saturday, go out that night
sunday fly portland->vancouver, bus it to whistler
can get a 1 bed studio right on the gondola and 4 days lift tickets for the quoted price.
bus it back to vancouver, fly back to portland that friday,
go out in portland that night
fly home to philly saturday.
