How in the fuck does everyone not have multiple guns by now?? Rick doesn't even have one.

And the scientist who might save the world hasn't been trained how to use a weapon?

I try and I try and I try to like it, but this show is just the worst written show ever.

the pacing is just so terrible, they have several periods like this where nothing at all is happening AND they also are doing a shit job of character development so it's not excusable

I'd say it was definitely better earlier on. You kind of gradually get pulled into the situation of the world through Rick's perspective from the hospital, and they're kind of on track towards the CDC to figure everything out. And I liked the premise of the farm and prison, and there were some good moments. So I don't think it's been as terrible as it seems to currently be heading.

Of course if you watch The Talking Dead, you'd think it was a lock for multiple Emmy's every season.

Disappointed in this episode. I understand what they're doing, but just hate the pacing of it all.

The Bandits were definitely just a plot element to get Rick and Co. on the road again, he seemed too complacent to stay in that little town. Not hard to imagine the house being "overrun" by the bandits quickly, it's just the timing was really convenient is all. Rick was asleep, bandits rolling through looking for supplies, see this house has some supplies stashed in it and figure someone already saved them some time from clearing out the house. They decide to take a break, presumably waiting for something(could be to meet up with others, could be others are searching the area, etc.).

The only thing I had against the random group of bandits, is some of the stuff was hard to accept.
1.) They didn't hear that scuffle in the bathroom when Rick killed the guy? (kudos to Rick for using him as a little walker-bomb by opening the door though)
2.) They didn't hear Rick when he made that racket with the gutter?

I also don't believe the bandit killed the other guy, the guy on the floor looked like he had basically been choked out MMA style. He appeared to be still breathing when Rick was staring at him and it wouldn't have made sense to kill the guy and then just leave him there to turn. But did sound like they killed some guy downstairs(deal gone wrong, betrayal, etc).

I too hate that they made Eugene look just like he does in the comics. They actually went that route with all 3 in Abraham's crew and it makes them look ridiculous to some extent.

Or the fact that the girl in that group has all that exposed skin which is just asking to be chomped on by a zombie. She seriously looks like Lara Croft with those short shorts, double handguns, and over the top curvy bits.

If you go by the Volumes they've packaged together, the 20th volume comes out in March.

We're kinda/sorta through Volume 9 but not completely(technically). So ~50% but more comics are coming out as Volume 20 is a 2-parter, not sure when the 21st volume will be released. The fall of the prison was the conclusion of Volume 8, so since the show came back has basically just been 1 volume.

Most of the kids on the show are being played by actors much older than their characters are suppose to be.

But yeah this season for the most part has been extremely slow and the last 2 episodes in particular have been pretty "meh" and have done nothing to progress the story at all. I don't want to know about Daryl's past, I think most would speculate that he was just Merle's lacky and they screamed of white trash. Wasn't exactly revealing that it ended up to be correct. Plus we already knew Daryl had made a transformation throughout the show, we didn't need an episode that spelled it out for everyone.

I thought the worst case scenario for the 2nd half of this season would be that we'd be spending the entire season just getting everyone back together and they'd unite in the last episode, and sadly it appears to be trending that direction.
