Well this thread turned into some kind of gay.

Now back on topic.....serious question....How many of you have seen highlights of Ryan Harrow before today.....and where did you see them....and have you watched his high school team live on their internet feed?

The reason I ask, is because players like him/Leslie/Brown/Wood/Howell are probably the biggest reason I've been defending Lowe like its my job. I've been watching video of Harrow since last summer and I've been pumped ever since but it seems like everyone else is just now finding out about him. Its the reason that I'm willing to take lumps with the current team because I'm confident that help is on the way.

Fergie had awesome videos too. You can't get too high or low on a guy based on some youtube shit.

i've been watching harrow's highlights since around the time word got out that we offered him. i remember making the joking comment on PP that i wasn't impressed because he wasn't dunking. of course, i was very impressed with his court vision and handles. then i see these highlights and see him pull off a dunk contest style dunk in a game? i was just as wowed, but now have no cheap way to joke about his game, he's a very solid all around player, and probably the only NC State commit the georgia hs boards will ever like

^^I don't know if you're being a smartass or if you're just dumb, but all ferguson did was shoot 3's in those videos and he did it in like 2 vids 4 minutes each over an entire season or more. Plus, he broke both of his fucking wrists his senior year in high school.

Harrow is doing this in one of the best high school basketball conferences in america. Same with Brown.

And i've seen him play live. His shit is no joke. He could produce one ferguson highlight reel every game. Once again, against some of the best competition in the country.

You really can't compare the two. Every game Harrow has multiple impressive highlight-plays.

This is true. there's plenty of big-talent hs players that don't pan-out. But you can't deny that kid obviously has waaaay more talent than ferguson. no knock on 'fergie'.

1 game of harrow vs a team with at least 3 d1 prospects on it (including Howell): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WbjmBQelYeE

not quite the same as T Ferg owning a bunch of 5'8 white kids at a private school

So do you think we'll be in play for Wall and Cousins? And does this make it easier to get Leslie back?

1. The videos of Harrow and of the Carolina Challenge that are up on the page are ours. We went and we filmed the events this past weekend.

2. We don't post bogus rumors in our comments section...and we've started moderating those types of comments since some false one about Wall got put up there.

3. Our goal is to keep our site positive. Let me ask you this...what good does it do to continually bash or point out the negatives of our program? Who will it ever help? It puts unneeded pressure on our players and coaches, it scares away recruits and its made us a laughing stock in the media. You want negativity hit up ANY other NC State site or message board. But at WolfpackHoops we're not going down that road. We spent all day with the Harrow family on Sunday and they love the upbeat atmosphere of the site. We also spoke with Scott Wood today and he told us he checks it regularly, his parents read it and his relatives read it.

That, to us, is enough reason to keep it positive. If a recruit wants to read what fans think about NC State, where do they go? Pack Pride? That is the only other free NC State basketball forum or real source of information and its almost ALWAYS negative over there. We want to start something different, if you dont like it, don't come.

Well when I was doing the majority of my defending of Lowe, CJ was committed. I can take Leslie out now, but he hasn't taken us off of his list and there are more factors than Lowe playing on that situation.

My point still stands.

"No. 1 ranked prospect John Wall was closing in on a decision for Memphis. But now that John Calipari might be headed to Kentucky and after a productive visit with Mike Krzyzewski, things have gotten complicated again for Wall.

First of all, Wall acknowledged that a switch from Memphis to Kentucky for Calipari would eliminate Memphis and put Kentucky into play.

"Kind of, basically would eliminate Memphis, and I would look into Kentucky," said Wall, a 6-foot-4, 184-pound point guard from Raleigh (N.C.) Word of God Christian Academy. "I wouldn't rush into anything. I did want to play for Coach Calipari. And if I had committed to Memphis, he is the coach I wanted to play for."

There has been another change for Wall. Previously planning to announce his decision at the Jordan Brand Game, Wall has postponed his announcement date.

"I'm just going to narrow my list down to two or three schools at the Jordan Game," he said. "By then I'll know what Coach Cal is going to do, and I also talked with Miami. They visited with me Monday. I'm going to visit there April 24. I hadn't had a chance to really sit down and talk with them. Now I'd like to see the campus and see what the school is all about."

On Sunday, the day prior to Wall's visit with Miami, Wall had a positive visit with Coach Krzyzewski.

"It was a good visit," he said. "Everybody has been saying I couldn't fit in at Duke and that I couldn't play for Coach K. But after listening to him, I feel better about the situation. He said he wanted me to come in and run the point and help them win a title. John Scheyer isn't really a point guard but more of a two guard, and they haven't had a fast, penetrating guard since Jason Williams."

When asked if he would spend some more time on Duke's campus getting a feel for the school, Wall responded, "probably so.""

I don't have a link either, but I googled someone else that posted more of the article.

What's with him being interested in Miami? They suck just as bad as we do and they're a lot further from home. But I'm with ^. It's pretty obvious he's not coming here, so let's focus on those who might.

He talked about trimming it to 2 or 3 schools and then mentions three schools. This media shit ya'll are talking about is fucking retarded too. If he had mentioned us, they would have put it in there. And if he's not mentioning us in an article that is strictly talking about his recruiting...then we're more than likely out of it. Don't see what we're trying to grasp here.

"Hey Steve...leave out that part where he says he's still considering/visiting NC State. Yeah...no point in having that in there."

yeah, at this point i couldn't care less if john wall comes to state. really. only part that sucks is that we went from being in the top 2 or 3 with wall, favors, and cousins to not even being in the conversation with any of them - was that just the result of our poor finish? or did sid piss someone off??

Oh please, John Wall would jerk off to most of the stuff written about him on this message board, and packpride too.

I mean, somehow we were in the picture with 3 of the top 5 recruits in the country against the likes of Duke, Memphis and some other stellar programs with top notch coaching and somehow we can boil down him not choosing us because of the fanbase??

Fuck that.

If we aren't in the conversation anymore, it's because we just finished 10th in the ACC, our prospects for next year aren't all that great and we have a coach who hasn't proven he can win yet. Nothing more, nothing less.

^ i hear you. what was comforting two months or so ago was that we were the only non-"A-list" program being mentioned by mulitple top 10 recruits. imagine how awkward we would've all found it had a school such as Cal, Michigan, WVU, etc been in the top 2 or 3 of favors, cousins AND wall. we would've all been like "oh shit, they must be doing something illegal, wtf" and it was nice to know that it was us, and we were legit, and it gave us hope that "hey, we might not land these guys, but we're moving in the right direction..."

but now it's Washington, Miami, duke, Kentucky, etc that's top of mind with walls and cousins. fuck.
