More like Brad Stevens is in negotiations to get a mansion built in Indiana with Butler.

Weird that this article doesn't say that on the exact same subject.

Where does that article say anything about contract negotiations?
Seems to me it basically says "UCLA, like every other school, has Brad Stevens as their top candidate" 3/28/2013 7:56:24 PM |

I posted the exact tweet that said it.
Maybe the ESPN college basketball editor didn't read the article. Or maybe he had additional information that he passed along.

i'm not saying they're not in negotiations...but neither of the two guys he referenced tweeted anything about it, nor does the story he linked

2002: 3rd in acc 2nd round ncaa 03: 4th acc first round ncaa 04:2nd acc 2nd round ncaa 05: 6th acc sweet 16 ncaa (same as last year) 06: 4th acc second round ncaa
thats a five year stretch where all four of the consecutive 2 year stretches were better than the last two years. We have not been anywhere near the top of the ACC the last two years. It would be hard to find more than a dozen programs that have had that kind of success in a five year stretch so don't make it sound like we never had anything. 3/28/2013 8:26:19 PM |

The Alford hire is going to be an unmitigated disaster. He was below .500 in the Big 10 and he's going to bring in his son to start at UCLA. This is going to be awesome. Prediction: He's fired after 3 seasons. 3/30/2013 12:43:30 PM |

Keep all players from transferring + Pick up 1 more body for next year + 1-2 more good players to join the twins in that class and = lots of credibility.
But depth of the program needs to be the top priority. 3/30/2013 2:09:25 PM |

Given that UCLA just hired Steve Alford, I don't think it was a matter of Gott choosing to stay, it was a matter of the buyout keeping him here.3/30/2013 3:01:59 PM |

their program is in shambles and they picked up a bargain bin MWC coach?

Except I don't think their program is in shambles. Maybe by the baby boomer sector of their fanbase. I don't for one second want to call them unreasonable thoug

Not going to slander Purvis for making a decision but will question what the hell is Gottfried saying/doing to these kids? It's simply not a playing time thing, given the minutes available... and it is a problem no matter what anyone says.
Next year is going to be a DISASTER.

I REALLY hate when people talk about "NC State Shit", as if we're the only team in the country to have bad luck sometimes.... but today I'm almost believing. Almost.
But then Lee and a big man JUCO are going to commit, and everything will be fine!

He was suppose to continue to start Purvis over Warren while Purvis was playing like shit and we had rebounding issues?
He apparently didn't take the benching well and word is that him and Warren had a big falling out.
