Every day this week, I have been woken up by impact steamrollers and bulldozers working less than 30 feet away from my room, causing my whole fucking apartment to shake.

WHEN WILL THEY FINISH THIS SHIT? JESUS FUCKING CHRIST

shit I really need to do this week:
dentist appts for us both
insurance deductibles
switch homeowner's
return shoes to zappos
phone rebate
return stuff to target and petsmart
make a lesson plan

^^My husband's dog weighed 27lbs. He's a cocker spaniel. Cockers are considered a 'medium' breed. Tell someone to shove it.

Well if cocker spaniels are considered a medium breed, Gambit is really fucked... but him in the "gigantor" category

I was surprised too. I always thought of them as a small breed...then I was like 'oh yeah. taco bell yappers'

What type is gambit?

It's SO. COOL. having a big dog (glacier). I've never had one before. I can just drop my hand to pet him

I'm gonna need a break from being in the office today. I might try to get 9 holes in at Centennial or Kentwood.

I've seen dogs bigger than Tanuk. It is rather amusing when Tanuk sees one of those dogs. He can't just run into the other dog and knock it down.

Lacey wants a dog bigger than him too

Gambit is a pit/lab/shepherd mix and maaaaybe something else because he has super long legs

But to these renters.... he'll simply be a lab mix. Stupid breed restrictions.

Oh and he now weighs 70 lbs... and he's not even done yet

he is a malamute somewhere in the 110 to 120 range. I don't think he is going to put on much more if any more weight.

I think I'm going to have trouble if I go to the NYC or Baltimore area with Gambit... Greensboro and Columbia won't be a problem I think.

Shit, I'm DEFINITELY taking him to Greensboro or Columbia seeing as they have the worst crime ratings out of the aforementioned cities...

My brother turns 20 tomorrow. I really wish he wasn't a douche bag....

I reckon one day he will realize the importance of family. It's just so strange to me how much higher he puts his friends over his family. He is one of those kids that are so stuck on his reputation from high school that he refuses to acknowledge that those people aren't going to be around for forever. He is out of touch which what is really required to get by when the parents no longer pay for everything. He refuses to grow up and act like an adult yet he feels he deserves all the benefits of being an adult. He is constantly getting drinking tickets and thinks that no harm will come from that. My brother really needs to grow up.

^^^Yeah that's true. But you know I wasn't constantly getting in trouble with the law like he is. Not to say that I wasn't going out and living it up as a 20 year old and drinking and such, but he is just way out of touch with reality. He seriously thinks he can work 20 hours a week at minimum wage and be able to afford to live on his own.

It just worries me more than anything, cause I've seen how the people I graduated with that were in that mode after high school and they are still around town just finding whatever job they can find, half of them have a kid or two.

He has admited that several times he has had to purchase the morning after pill. I hope he comes around eventually, I don't want him turning into one of those people that think they can live on their high school life for the rest of their life.

also, boys are traditionally worse than girls when it comes to what you're describing.

if he turns 22 and he's still acting that way, it's time for an INTERVENTION

Yeah...hopefully this summer he will get hit hard with a dose of reality. My mom is planning on moving here and David thinks that he can just stay there and live on his own while going to school and working...so he will probably realize he has a lot of growing up to do this summer...I can only hope.

Sounds like your parents don't mind, since they're enabling this kind of behavior.

Honestly they really are. They enabled me to be like that for a while too, but I think the whole living on my own while in Raleigh helped me out a lot, especially once I was living in an apartment. The only thing my parents were paying for was my rent, car insurance and a cell phone bill. I was paying for all my other expenses.

I'm sure it'll work out for him, my dad is starting to get on him more now, I think he is fed up with the way he is acting.

I'm not worried so much about my youngest brother though, he seems to have more ambition, he has a personality more like mine. David's personality is just think of the moment and party every chance you get...

When I first looked it up it gave Greensboro a crime rating of 3 and Baltimore a 5 (meaning Greensboro is 3% safer than all the other cities in the US)... but I went to a different website just now and they gave Greensboro and Baltimore the same rating for violent crime. Greensboro is 2 points lower for property crime though.

What's really sad is that Greensboro is worse than NYC in both categories

I'm starving.

I'm glad I'm addressing this, because i'm getting sleepy and grumpy, and I know I need to eat, and I do feel hunger pangs...I just don't want to eat. Nothing's appealing. If not eating were an option, I'd go that route.

I hope it becomes an option.

Well...I feel stronger when I'm doing push ups now...I mean I still can't do very many at a time but I've gotten better. I can do more than I could when I first started. I can also do a push up without sticking my butt up in the air now....progress ftw!

so not only am i charged $20/mo for my mom's line (she's on my cell phone plan) but NOW because of Verizon's bright idea at the 1st of the year, they're charging an additional $10 for a data plan on my mom's line. and my mom doesn't even have a fucking internet-capable phone!!! the plan i have for my blackberry includes unlimited text/pic msgs for BOTH lines.

but there's no reason to call cuz they're just gonna tell me they won't do anything...right?
