Ok ladies...I want your opinion! Is it ok to wear white jeans/skirt/dress after Labor Day (and NOT meant for a wedding!)? I have a long white tiered, flowy hippie kind of skirt that I love and a sweet, white sundress that I could still wear into colder weather.

i wear white year round. I especially love crisp white pants or a blazer in the winter but thats me.

As far as a sundress... IDK if i would wear it

Wearing white after Labor Day is okay in the 21st century. Just be season and weather appropriate when dressing around it. In other words, if you plan to wear white pants in November, that's fine, just leave the flip-flops at home and wear a round-toe flat.

Yay! Great tips...I agree that the white should be weather/season appropriate...such as a nice white jacket/blazer or something for fall and winter.

i have some slouchy brown boots similar to those with buttons that i love, and i wear them either over skinny jeans, w/ leggings, or bare legs w/ a skirt or dress

^^I always wonder the same thing...about what to wear those types of boots with. I think jeans is probably the best thing. I really love Free People's version of convertible Over-the-Knee Boots.

i'm too bottom heavy to pull off skinny jeans or the skirt look

and i just don't know about the leggings thing

i have a pair of jeans that may work...i guess i'll have to wear them to the store and try on the boots....

The heels are going back
They don't feel great, and they don't look great.

The downside of ever having tried softspots is that now I know just how damn comfortable shoes can be

Sweet. I've been meaning to head out to Goodwill for awhile to check out the goods.

I do the same pose too to hide my "fat" arms (PS. your arms don't look fat!)

haha...EXACTLY

it's all in the pose

i also have uneven hips (thank you scoliosis) so any shot straight on makes me look all gimpy....that's one reason why i pose at an angle

that....and so you can see how huge my boobs are

^^^Haha that is so funny b/c I do the same thing. I have to turn slightly to the side and I swear that my left side truly is my "good side." I do the jutting out of the hips too to make me look skinnier. I once read somewhere that turning your face off to the side a little or a slight tilt makes you look better anyways (something about looking dead on at the camera isn't appealing--think DMV pic!). haha.

i've been thinking about those boots all day...

that's not good because now i'll convince myself i have to have them

i was thinking about the leggings...and i thought i hated them and talked about people that wear them....then i remembered it's not the leggings i hated...

it's those stupid ass bubble/lampshade dresses with high heeled slouchy boots that girls wear with them that i hate

[Edited on September 14, 2009 at 4:32 PM. Reason : i think the flat boots would probably be appropriate]

i'm going to try on those boots tonight with jeans just to get an idea of how they will look

if i like it them i'm going to sleep on it and make my final decision tomorrow...since i can order them online cheaper than i can buy them in the store...

I bought 28 items today and spent $200. Aside from a halter top it was all fun designer stuff.

Highlights include theory black dress, floor length sundress, free people halter, lucky wide leg velvet pants, amazing Michael Kors jacket shirt
