to be fair, I don't think they had a single senior on their o-line so they should be returning everyone with a year of starting experience under their belts, but they didn't exactly look impressive last year so I hardly see them making the jump to best in the ACC (much less country)

^^that's what i didn't understand about their fans being so opposed to fire butch davis. he recruited well - but all he had to show for it was some 8 win seasons, never better than 4-4 in conference, and never finishing higher the 3rd in their division. he wasn't setting the world on fire - just can him and move on to the next 7 win/season coach.

But I think they'd have made some serious noise the year the shit hit the fan and they had to sit like 20 players every game that season.
