Spider Bags remind me of some leftovers from the whole mid-90s "post-punk" (quotations are intentional to imply irony). It's not that I don't like it, it's more of "I would've liked it when everyone and their mother was doing it". Or, maybe it's just that coupled with the new, cool thing of coupling every garage-ish genre with honky-tonk or country. yeah, that's probably it. Hell, I'd cash in, too.

Roman Candle are a little too slick for me. That's not a criticism, just a personal preference. I feel the same way about Ryan Gustafson.

"Waking Up Drunk" is one of my favorite pop songs of the past few years, though I like other bands' version of it (particularly the Titus Andronicus take) more than the original.
