i feel the same way too. plenty of gross people go to the doctor so i think they appreciate someone who is well groomed for their visit. besides, most visits require the dr to touch you somehow (no homo) and i dont want someone to be grossed out by me

No problem lucyinthesky I loved that dress too!!!! Soo adorable. Too bad they didn't have my size.

As for the Q about grooming for the doctor...that is so NOT weird. My best friend and I had this conversation once before and I think every woman feels like she should maintain "good appearances" down there. LOL Just got back from the Gyno in fact!

I can't imagine a gyno caring that much as long as you don't resemble an oozing container of cottage cheese.

I've heard of gyno horror stories, like women going to the gym and then the gyno without showering in between.

I would do that to a gyno who has consistently refused to give me a tubal for the past 10 years.

For all you local tww ladies:

I'm throwing a jewelry party beginning of October.. It's through Premier Designs, I was kinda wary at first but I ordered a necklace and have gotten a ton of compliments lifetime guarantee, yada yada

Anyways, there will be cookies and alcohol if you're interested in at least seeing the stuff.. PM me for details!

Necklace:

I didn't know if I would like having such big beads (they're blown glass) but they're different and pretty lots of pretty detail.

Oh and btw, average price is $25

yeah, but you never know. it might look good but it might not. and if it doesn't and you act like it does, it could throw your whole look off completely.

i wouldn't go anywhere if i were you just to be safe

^6--I've got a good amount of Premier Design stuff (sister used to have a ton of parties). It's a bit expensive, but it lasts for forever (lifetime guarantee) and a lot of it is interchangeable. It's definitely one of my more favorite types to buy from.

jprince11, yes my husband and I do not want children. I have always hated them and he likes his disposable income. I don't see why I can't get a tubal if he got a vasectomy.

This skirt would look so great on me, but I'm not paying $88 for it

seriously? a classic black skirt that you know you'll like, look great on you, and you can get a lot of wear out of?

cost per wear seems like it would be worth it...

Because that manufacturer's quality is seriously subpar, and it's not something I'd wear enough to warrant the $88 price tag. Especially given that as I continue to lose weight, with the pleating, it can only be taken in so much.

I very much appreciate paying for quality...when the quality is there and I have the occasion to wear it. That's far too formal for my life in the next 1-5 years.

In other words, if this were j. crew or somesuch, $88 is very justified. Not from lane bryant

Belk's at Crabtree is having a MAJOR sale. I was there this past weekend and got some designer duds for over 50% off!!! For example, I got this AMAZING Free People dress...it's royal blue with gems/studs on the flutter sleeves, and has some nice ruching across the waist. It's very sexy.

Anyways, tonight they are having a "Ladies night out" where you can get cocktails and Hors d'Ĺ“uvre's and you get an extra 20% off the already 50% off designer clothing.

LOL at all the commentary about the wolf dress.

I find that REALLY funny b/c I say this kind of thing to my best friend all the time. I'm the weirdo who tries on silly looking hats (like ones old ladies wear to church on Easter Sunday) in dept. stores just to get a laugh. haha!

HOTTT! However, I ordered stuff from Modcloth earlier and was disappointed. The fit was weird so I returned them. And that's unusual for me b/c I'm an easy size and department store clothes fit me well. I hate to say it cause the clothes look so good online. But I think I can take a chance on this dress cause it is HOT

I think it is an absolutely MUST to have a fabulous coat for fall/winter. Last year, I bought this red, to-die-for 3/4 length red coat (Anne Klein) at Macy's. It was after Christmas, and it was marked down to pretty much a steal for a coat like that. It's amazing. The red color makes it pop!

oh i know. i have an absolute obsession with coats (and shoes - ask raven928, and purses). i have all colors: red, yellow, chocolate, black, magenta, purple, emerald green, royal, and even burnt orange. i just love pairing a dark outfit with an eye popping coat or jacket.

but i live in a relatively chilly part of the us, so i have a long "season" to work with
