I proofread an assignment for a NC State football player that used the phrase University of UCONN twice. He was from up north.

Wall is a 5th year senior in highschool. I mean holy shit, high school is a joke, how do you fuck that up?

He didn't 'fuck that up'. He reclassified when he went from Broughton to Word of God so he could play another year of basketball.

You were involved with that conversation once already in this thread.

IF he wanted, he could have graduated in 4 years? Okay, thanks for that info. That applies to anyone who ever went to highschool.

yeah, it went a little something like this

“I don’t have any respect for Roy Williams. I encourage [my players] to play for guys that will inspire them to be good people. If you’re not a good person, you can’t make someone a good person.”

just put up a CJ Leslie video in case you guys wanted to check it out. Its from the Boo Williams and he really impressed us. Also we talked to a few people up there and the overall feeling most have is that NC State is still a big time player for him...if not THE player to beat in this whole recruiting process.

we rarely use facebook. We call/email/text more than anything. Or just go talk to them after games or at events.

I think it's because you didn't capitalize wake and did Kentucky that I first thought wake tech. I was amazed that he decided to switch from on juco to another.

http://wolfpackhoops.blogspot.com/2009/04/video-luke-cothron-2009-boo-williams.html

We just posted another and probably better video of Luke Cothron. Also a few quotes from him.
Check it out if you want.

Cothron is bigger than I expected. Doesn't look overly explosive, and seems to need to work on his coordination a little. Still, he'd be a nice complement to Leslie if we can reel him in.

Start the inevitable comparisons to the Javi recruitment.

Yeah, im not sure why we have to use all of our available scholarships either. If there isn't someone that is ACC caliber, pick up a walk-on from a local school, save the scholly for next year and call it a day.

No sense hamstringing the program for years with marginal players. Not necessarily saying that's what this guy is, that's just what it looks like on first glance.

Yeah, he seems to have come out of nowhere. Unless he's fantastic (which doesn't seem likely, or he would have more offers this late in the game), it doesn't seem we need another (inexperienced) point guard. Then again, maybe he's a sleeper who's going to come in, immediately start, and be a huge contributor. I kinda doubt it though.

I believe this is the dude who just got his grades together (maybe good SAT or some shit) and now people are knocking down his door.

From what I can gather he is a baller but his grades kept all the big dogs away because they thought he wouldnt qualify.

maybe degand is not gonna be around next year

they have been on this guy for awhile

he was averaging double digit assists per game.
we slacked off recruiting a little but then Monte saw that his game was really looking good.

that is why he have started being interested AGAIN.

as for

^it may be common practice, but unless the kid fucks up in some way, I think it's pretty unclassy. If he is not good enough to be here, be straight with him up front.

Telling a kid he's relegated to the bench and hinting that he's being recruited over = cutting him.

It's cruel, but it's no different than an academic scholarship really. If you don't produce, you're going to lose it.

when you put it like that it makes perfect sense

To me, at least, since Im on an academic fellowship that gets renewed every year.

We already did this with one scholarship for this year.....or so it seems like he was going to walk-on here.
