No, i don't expect people to be "stoked" about our class. I'm not "stoked" about this class. I even said i wasn't happy with this recruiting class so far. I'm not trying to rationalize anything. I'm certainly hoping a few "highly recruited" guys join-up before all is said and done.

Really, the only reason I made my initial post that got you all riled-up was that I found it interesting that we had two guys on the All-ACC 1st team, two guys on the 2nd, and two honorable mentions. And none of them were highly recruited coming out of high-school. And I'd thought I'd point that out.

it goes to show that some of the kids are paying attention to the news and are getting out of there. Thus, it's possible that our recruiting will be affected if some of the others look around and notice that their classmates are de-committing.

Defensive End with 4.45? Good god. Is that normal? I'm not any kind of stat guy but sounds really low for a d-lineman.

3 year HS DE switched to LB/S, which looks like where they are projecting him in college. Listed at 6'3, 215 pounds.

dude sounds like a monster on defense - lucky break for us. Great get for the staff.

Seems very similar to Maurice Morgan in terms of size and speed. It will be interesting to see what the staff decides to do with them.

^I know I'm going to sound like a UNC poster and I can't remember the last time I've said something like...but there was nothing about that guy's film that impressed me. He looked like he was playing against middle school white kids...and even then, he wasn't exactly blazing past them.

I would like to think we can get better skill position players than Knight.

That being said...good luck to him. He'll probably go somewhere like Wake and end up tearing us up in the future.

Honestly, and I know I wasn't the only one, I never got a good feeling about Knight when I watched his videos. He's got great measurables, but he just didn't seem to have *it.* You just don't see those natural RB instincts or any wow factor in his videos. I was hoping he'd move to LB actually.

Not a big loss, but damn ... we need some recruits.

Obviously the coaches saw something in him and wanted him to be here, so I would consider him a big loss.

With that said, do we find someone new this late in the game or hold out for a big name next year? Hopefully our improved play this year will catch the attention of the JR recruits.

I think he was projected to play more of the FB position, behind Gentry and Winkles. And any decomittment sucks. But I'm not too worried about this one. Good luck to the kid.

At this point, the only recruit I'd feel bad about losing is the punter. The other team is given a huge advantage when they stop us and we can't consistently put it down field.
