I know the topic of avatars has come up and been rejected a few times, but is there a possibility of allowing useres to create a signiture? I hate keeping mine in the clipboard all the time.

actually, I'd advise against doing this. Who, besides you and I, would actually use it?

besides, signatures are stagnant. they don't change, and as such, they're not a method of advancing anything on TWW except for the additional disk space used by the extra characters. signatures don't advance the thread topic. they don't even advance your post count - not that that matters to most people. I'm all for advancements that actually advance TWW in terms of user interaction and other such items, but signatures really don't do that.

pureetofu's does not bother me, but signatures with text would. They take up extra space and reading time and serve little to no purpose. Put your signature information on your profile.

signatures as a whole are annoying. most people just want to read your contribution to the thread, if that.

i have seen other boards that have them, and it's so fucking annoying.

Only if a rule was in place that the content of the actual post had to contain 4 times more lines than the sig. I hate seeing one-line posts and 17-line signatures.
