They say the last 5 minutes is must see in tonight's episode. I'm hoping Lex will finally find out about Clark's power. Can't wait.

I think in the last 5 minutes someone will find out about clark's power. But then in next week's episode they will end up losing their memory or being killed or something...

yep just like the doctor said, "he will soon lose his short term memory"...
so he will probably forget it, or end up thinking he was hallucinating from the drugs...

great episode... i think Michael Rosenbaum (Lex) is a good actor.

it sucks that the next new episode is coming January 7

According to the comic books (Superman) Lana Lang is supposed to find out about Clark's powers and she won't forget...but who knows when the hell that will happen

That's Pre-Crisis history, dude. In the current continuity Clark revealed his powers to her before he leaves for Metropolis. Read John Byrne's Superman: Man of Steel and Jeph Loeb's Superman: For All Seasons for a primer on Post-Crisis Superman's origins. The first issue of For All Seasons is the one that features Clark revealing his powers to Lana after graduating high school.

That was a really good episode....I kind of got sick of all their formulaic bad-guy-of-the-week Clark-looks-longingly-at-Lana-and-then-says-sorry-I-have-to-keep-it-a-secret plotlines. But that was good, the whole gaslighting thing, and points for using the Johnny Cash song at the end, that was perfect.

Ah ha, Lana got pwnt by that horse.

I am a little saddened, however, that Lex will never be able to pin the deaths of his grandparents on his father now. People won't believe him, any and all actual evidence is missing/dead, and Lex will probably come to believe he really was delusional. Lionel is such a bastard.

I am pritty sure that this sitch with lex will eventually be ironed out, and things will get back to semi normal; lex wont be sure about clark, and he wont be able to prove anything about his dad.

They are really stretching lex's mind; they are doint such a great job of showing what it took to make lex snap into the villian we know he will be.

^they've always said it ends when he goes to metropolis; since the name of the show is "smallville" it makes sense

and by the way; with hollywood looking into a youthful cast for the movies; i.e. natalie portman for lois lane and the count of monte cristo's son for superman, why the hell wouldn't they just go with the smallville cast; welling should prove he has what it takes in "cheaper...dozen"

and i'm pretty sure rosebaum can handle himself...

and by the way:
[quote]That's Pre-Crisis history, dude. In the current continuity Clark revealed his powers to her before he leaves for Metropolis. that is the reason MARVEL ALWAYS PWNT DC, AND ALWAYS WILL...
i only wish there were good marvel tv shows so that there would be a clear trifecta;
books: marvel
movies: marvel
tv: dc (but thank God for cartoons, so at least marvel gets some kind of small screen glory)

^ Marvel sucks dude, seriously. I havn't read any marvel comics in probably 6 years, but even when I was 13 I was like "dude, they talk so fucking corny"

Anwways, I ain't watched the show in a LONG time. Are Lex and Clark still friends? I always thought that was the winz.

^yes, they are still friends
clark is probably lex's only companion now, since his father is having him chemically brainwashed...

and dude; i'd rather read issue 1 of a comic and read issue 200 and it still be the same damn universe...timeline...."crisis"....whatever...

[and i haven't bought a comic in probably 7 or 8 years, so plz to ignore marvel's practice of the same techniques that i hate about dc]

^ lol well, I can certainly feel you on that one, kinda.

I started reading in like '91 DC almost exclusivley(mainly Batman and batman related comics (Azreal, NightWing, Robin, the other Batman variants like Detective Comics and Superman), and then after a year or so all of the sudden shit happened.

Batman got his back broken, and Superman died. I felt like was I was witnessing a sort of comicbook revolution, like they were taking down the old idols that have stood for the past 60 years or so.

Then things started to reverse themselves. Batman got over his back problem, kicked Azreal's ass, then later kicked Bane's ass. Superman came back. I was really disappointed.

Then about a year later Hal fucked up the Green Lattern Corps, killed the Gaurdians, and tried to recreate the universe in Zero hour.

That's whenever I realized that everynow and again DC will fuck shit up for a while to make you think things are gonna change to boost comic sales, but then people get nostalgic for the old days so they change them back to boost comic sales, but then people want new shit so...it's a cycle.

That's when I basically got disillusioned and stop reading serial comics on a regular subscription basis.

^ YES! AMEN! The AoA is the single best comic series I have ever read. After a while it dawned on me why: it has a clear beginning and a clear end. Comics that just go on and on and on forever eventually go the way of soap operas in that they trip over themselves continuity-wise and the identity of the characters becomes lost in "hackneyed plot contrivances."

After AoA, though, Marvel had a legitimate chance to "fix" some continuity problems with the X-books... but they DIDN'T DO IT. Instead, a few months later, they introduced Onslaught. That's pretty much where I stopped reading all of the X-books, as I despised this character.

We should make a seperate thread about this if you wanna chat about it.

Yeah, I bought the whole Death of Superman/Funeral For a Friend/Reign of the Supermen story line, and it was good. I stopped reading after that, but they did some stupid thing with changing Superman's powers and costume for a while. Don't know how they resolved that, but I could tell it was a bad idea.

Blue Costume = gay

Black Costume = badass

^That's nothing. Some people on that board have theorized that Chloe will go on to become Lois Lane. That's just mother-fuckin' retarded. I hate that bitch. She's just a cock-tease with no purpose, and she can't accept that Clark likes Lana. She deserves every bit of shit she got for dealing with Lionel.

I am gonna have to defend chloe. I love character, and she does NOT know about clark-the only one that does is lionel; he saw clark catch bullets and knows that basically fell out of the sky one day. (Of course pete knows too)

And it is possible that she only agreed to deal with lionel to find out what he knows, besides, she was blackmaled and was honest to clark about what happened. And she did accept clark and lana; lana and chloe are very good friends now.
