I'm looking to fill some of my free elective slots with some easy classes! I need some A's! What has everyone taken that worked out well? 7/16/2004 6:38:08 PM |

Broad, do a search for "easy" in study hall, or "A" in study hall, you'll pull up a ton of threads on this topic. 7/16/2004 7:54:35 PM |

COM 203 - Acting.... actually you have quite a bit of work to do - but it turns out to be fun. should be an easy A unless you can't memorize lines 7/17/2004 9:10:28 AM |

When I read the title, I thought omg someone on tww wants a quality elective class! Then it turned to be the usual search for the easy class, no matter how retarded the class is. 7/17/2004 9:29:07 AM |

Why don't you use this opportunity to learn things that have interested you in the past, that aren't in your core or major schedules?
You won't ever have this opportunity again, most likely. The entire university is at your fingertips -- take advantage of it.
Oh hell, titty bars 101 is an easy A. 7/23/2004 6:35:38 PM |

^^yep, i graduated with 168 credit hours!
if you just want easy GPA boosters...wait a minute? why do you want easy GPA boosters? you're a COM major.
but here are some classes i took that i thoroughly enjoyed:
TED 115-woodworking
TED 122-machine shop/metal fabrication
COM 112-interpersonal communications
REL 312-new testament
GC 420-visual thinking (the best way i can describe it is college-level kindergarden)
PSY 304-educational psychology
CSC 200-intro to computers and their use (this class was a pushover, and i'm actually very knowledgable about computers, but i learned a few things-one of them being how to write webpages with HTML, which is the main reason-besides a super easy A-that i took the class)
PSY 200-intro to psych (one thing i learned in educational psych is that i like psychology a lot)
HI 252-recent american history (from civil war reconstruction to present)
HI 452/552-recent american history (WWII to present). likely the best class of my college career. take it with Dr. Cadell. 7/26/2004 2:05:50 AM |

PHI 340??? don't tell him to take that, that's just mean.
i've heard that's one of the hardest classes in the philosophy department, and from philosophy majors.
Try NTR 301- Intro to Human Nutrition, not a REALLY easy A or anything, but definitely easy enough and really useful/interesting. 7/26/2004 11:44:31 AM |

^^yeah, that's a possibility depending on what prof you get. i didn't mention it b/c i figured "non-science" people would have trouble with it. all of the stuff i mentioned were classes that are pretty universally easy. 7/26/2004 6:08:40 PM |

Damn straight. Caddell is the fucking man. He will be the best history teacher you've ever had, and he shows good movies and keeps awesome company at home. Take 252 with Caddell if you can - most everyone is required to take a 200-level history, anyways.

No way! You're kidding, right? If a philosophy major were to tell me that, I'd seriously begin to doubt the potential of their academic career choice...
...the course isn't for everyone, because you have to be willing to read - and often, you might need to read the same thing a couple times so that you understand. And God willing, if you still don't understand, you can go to class and just ask (but class attendance is 100% optional). And the man curves the grade like crazy!7/28/2004 8:43:24 AM |

and despite all that: despite the fact that i did read the material (often several times), despite the fact that he curved like crazy, and despite the fact that i did pretty well in the other philosophy courses that i took, i still made a C- in 340.
and that C- was thanks in large part to a well earned A on the final exam that i managed to pull off by chasing down all the answers from the old tests.
i wouldn't suggest that class for anyone. 7/28/2004 9:40:48 AM |

Educational Psychology 304, most students make A+ if you just put a little time into the enrichment projects. Exams are all online, and relatively easy if you attend lecture. Take it with Dr. Osbourne, I use to TA it! 8/9/2004 12:44:19 PM |

if you take phi 340...you will so regret it. I only took it because it satisfies my phi and science/tech requirement. the guy is so hard. look up his webpage sometime. his grading scale si like 40-D to 75 A...yeah sounds easy right....his test are HARD and half the time you can't even begin how to answer them. most of the people got away with a C....but OMG it was a nightmare!! waste of time and its hard. 8/9/2004 4:42:27 PM |

when i took horticulture(HS 201) the teacher did not even make you take the tests or final when you to the class for credit only. four two paragraph summaries about bs stuff with regular attendance is all that you needed to get credit. 8/9/2004 8:59:52 PM |
