From J.J. Abrams, creator of ALIAS. The pilot episode (the first half of which airs tonight) is the best first episode of a new television that I've probably ever seen.

The people-eating monster(s) kept me from adding this to my TV lineup. But I am DVRing CSI:NY.

Everytime I glance at that, I first read it as, "Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young."

And this is different from the majority of network scripted programming how?
Lost and Smallville are in HD too...and not during that block anyhow.

I had read something in the TV Guide (or somewhere else) along these lines.

^^ What are you talking about? High definition is a widescreen format...theres no such thing as 4:3 HD.
With the exception of Scrubs, Will and Grace, and a few shows on UPN, all scripted network programming (ie, not news or "reality"), is in high definition now.

^ And yeah Lokken, I do sometimes...Im not watching Smallville on TheWB since I cant get WLFLs HD signal, but I will watch it when it comes on HDNet.

And to get back on the original topic, Ill be watching Lost tonight, and I might check out CSI: NY just because Gary Sinise is cool.

Yeah, The Amazing Race isnt in HD...hence why its not in widescreen. Network reality shows arent produced in HD...the whole point is they are cheap as hell, hence SD.

what??

one more reason for me not to get on a plane

if there is a monster/alien/some large fake creature on that island i'm going to be very disappointed. i was liking this show until the monster thing.

it's not a monster, its a food supply. i find it very hard that they could find the cockpit without walking a search pattern

where did the dog come from?

they're being fucked with, they ain't stranded...its a fucked up game show and the bitchy girl is going to get super pissed when she finds out

the asian dude is going to go mortal kombat on everyone

but the hobbit is super cool-2 of his first 3 lines of dialogue was simply "terrific" and...dammit what was the other word....but anyway-Charlie's cool

1. YAYAYAYA its in widescreen HD so I'm watching
2. I would blame Sayed for the plane crashing
3. Why did that guy smoke a cig then? I'd treasure them bitches, not like you can run to the store and cop a pack

I couldn't think of a better time to smoke one than after I realized I am going to be stranded on an island.
