who determines what is "racist," "biggoted," "inside jokes," "senseless babble."

why do the moderators have that kind of power? i mean, they are making money off this site, and as it appears, don't people get fired up by that kind stuff, making them come back to the site, visit the sponsers and what not? seems like they are just trying to revert to terror tactics. here is my two cents, fuck banning what i say.

"Why we do it
The Wolf Web was founded on the premise that we could provide an open forum for people to communicate freely with one another without outside influence. We enjoy hosting content that most outsiders would deem inappropriate. For this reason we have had difficulty attaining monetary support to keep the website functional.
The Wolf Web is not a profitable enterprise. The costs (and TIME) of building and maintaining a website of this magnitude far outweigh the revenue that we receive on a month to month basis. The losses that we incur each month are building up to the point where it is not feasible to run the website without a steady stream of revenue. We have basically become a victim of our own success. We would like to provide continual service to our users without the bombardment of "alternate" (read:ANNOYING) advertising methods. We are currently one of the fastest and most advertising-light sites on the internet. With the help of you, our users, we can keep it this way!
"

Here's what gives the mods the power: "THEY OWN THE SITE" well, at least 2 of them do, from my understanding.
A friend of mine has kept up a site with a message board for skiboarders for the past 2 or 3 years. He deleted stupid threads in the beginning, and now people know not to post there if it's nothing important. People come in and post, when someone is already on the subject, about how nice it is to come to a site where there's NOT a bunch of retards arguing over nothing related to the content of that website.

If not the moderators, then who should have that power? Some bums from the street? You?

me, but my criteria are derived from what the majority of our users find interesting and not overly offensive.

"revert to terror tactics"

i think you need to consult a dictionary if you define "terror" as suspending someone from an internet message board!
