What the HELL. 972 person queue on Doomhammer tonight?! Been waiting for almost 1:30 now. I sincerely hope this is a temporary situation... Blizzard should consider allowing server migrations a la FFXI, if they even are able to do that. I'd strongly recommend to my guild that we all just jump to another server.

-almost even horde/alliance distro

-medium server population, never had to wait in line

-last 16hr update, mal`ganis wasn't included and instead recieved the normal 4hr

ncsu guild on there, horde side, named "exempt"

twwer's included: porcha, Stein, Azaka, Drovkin, Quinn, Shaggy, Shrike and some others not featured on the tww, equally as cool, cept for amamruoy

Growth potions are fun... I got that recipe yesterday. Made a trip back to the Barrens to get some deviate fish... I level so slowly because of doing things like that. I got so distracted by the shellfish traps off of the dock in Desolace. Since I'm a druid, doing anything underwater is easier for me than anyone else, so I just go for a swim! I did get 2 of the Big Iron Fishing Poles, though. (Yay for fishing +20!).

Anyhow, I don't think the Giant growth potion does quite as much as the witchdoctor in Sen'Jin. Playing with him is fun! I went back and did newbie troll quests just so I could play with him... he might do "launch" on you, sending you hundreds of feet in the air (but you land soft), or he might hex you and make you into a chicken/snake/frog for 30 sec, or you might get drunk and hallucinate dancing trolls, or you might be doubled in size. My Shaman friend discovered this... then astral recalled to Ogrimmar and started dancing in the mittle of the AH. Everyone runs in towards the Auctioneers, then goes "Wait a sec... WHAT?" and we watched them stop and turn around to look at the 20 ft tall troll with a red mohawk.

Of course, when I tried the same thing... well, double size tauren don't fit through the door of the XR inn. Bear form didn't either. Cat form might have, but I didn't have that at that point.

I wonder if deviate delights and giant growth potions can overlap... extra big ninjas!

maybe goon squad is a recipe for exploit nerf disaster, but they are small in size compared to the guilds of mmorpgs i have played in the past. engin was telling me he couldnt turn in quests because alliance had killed all their NPCs, thats not something you face with a guild on your side with the numbers and ease of communication that goon squad provides. i would never join them, but applaud their sense of humor and cordinated PK events.

Yea I was making fun of them because they were all Ex- Alliance bitching about the Alliance side on Mal'Gayness. General chat is pretty worthless though.

Thing about stormreaver tho is that the Alliance is pretty good about responding to guild gankings. I know when we were camping Nessingway in STV to help the Horde questers there, it took a max of about 20 mins before 6 lvl 45+ pally's showed up in addition to the mid major's we were hunting.

The Horde on stormreaver is notorious for being pussy and not responding when no name guilds to similar tactics.

On the other hand

There are more Horde members doing instances on our server though and I get the general sense that Horde members can pvp much better then general alliance ones. Whenever we've had even lvl pvping its been a total Horde raping of all alliance, regardless of level and their constant and only response has been higher lvl pally/smurf/fag zerg.

Launch sales mean shit when it comes ot the quality of the product. It was hype and a smart marketing move. While they did draw significantlt on the asian market WoW still can't touch the numbers Lineage achieved. And if you look at mmorpgchart.com you'll see that WoW and EQ2 are pretty much neck and neck with active subscribers (and EQ1 is still beating both). Besides, ... all those record-breaking WoW buyers are sitting on their ass with no game to play while the SOE faithful enjoy a very stable quality product with essentially zero downtime.

Wrong, Lineage is a Korean game and has been around for years. Lineage 2 was a world release and has been in existence for about a year.

Its only that high because of the asians and Blizzard hype. Look at the Lineage, WoW can't even come close to touching it. Sales records can be deceiving... just look at music charts. People buy shitty products all the time. SOE is a proven MMO leader and its very evident with the difference in how EQ2 and WoW have had very different post-launch experiences.

Didn't they know that video cameras exist now, and they look great?" Or like saying it's sub-par to Final Fantasy the movie because it looks more photo-realistic.

WoW is a stable game, compared to say, SWG which had GUI buttons that weren't even implemented at launch.

In fact, aside from Cosmos being the worst coded piece of shit ever and an occassional server que, my WoW experience has been more stable then playing Halo2 on xbox or the first week of trying to get Steam to run.

ps- EQ2 sucks dick. Only a fag would want to play that.

What you see here is classic WoW gamer. Lacking in intellect, logic, tact, and even basic grammar, they can be difficult to understand and usually result in the reader just shaking their head. I'll attempt to interact, regardless...

The point of pointing out the PA revocation is that Gabe and Tycho were two of the biggest WoW supports/fanbois on the internet, even making custom artwork for Blizzard. The rest of yoru comments on them are nonsensical.

The server problems they are having are serious. Continuous downtime is not something that "every MMO has". Outside of a 2 day incident in Decemeber EQ2 has been pretty sterling in regards to server uptime/stability. If you don't consider current WoW issues to be "problems" then you have an extremely low expectation of what a constitutes a solid game (then again maybe that is why you are playing WoW in the first place). The bottom line is that Bizzard was not prepared for release.. very bad move.

Graphics... stylistic is one thing, dated is completely different. Hell, it barely looks better than Warcraft 3. I actually like Blizzards "style" but find WoW to be poorly implemented. They definitely let graphics slide. EQ2 is not all realism (Vanguard is going more that route)... the softness or cartoon-like embelishments are definitely there. The game engine is just flat out graphically superior.

Another example of the splendor that is a WoW/Blizzard fanboi. Does logging into their server automatically make you 13, bitter, and sexually repressed or is that a more gradual process?

The immaturity in the previous two posters are prime examples of the different atmospheres of WoW and EQ2. I guarantee the average age of gamers for each respective game is quite different.
