Who makes the final say so on the front page articles. I posted one this afternoon and it is not posted yet. I also posted one a few weeks back and the thing was never posted up. I am wondering, who actually decides what goes up and how long does it take to get posted. 12/12/2001 8:27:57 PM |

Duff Man: there are actually about 13 of us that can post stories. As for how long it takes, well, that depends. 12/13/2001 5:43:53 PM |

as far as your story ""Back In 1775"! goes...I can't tell because it has been too long. It's possible we just didn't feel like it was appropriate for the front page. I'm going to suggest to Jake to have a process that rejects the story for front page and informs the submitter the reason why so they are better informed and know what we are looking for as far as frontpage stories go

I know sometimes I'll see a good story, but that need some links fixed and formatting and whatnot. But I won't feel like editing it, I just assume someone else will. Then they don't. So it doesn't get posted. It's all my laziness. 12/13/2001 11:34:34 PM |

since there's 13 of you, wouldn't a rejection process take way too long, as all 13 would have to read it and give reasons for the rejection? 12/14/2001 7:52:34 AM |

no, not really, because if only a handful of us don't like something then it could be rejected. But you're correct, if you don't see your story posted withing 5 days of submitting it, then chances are that it wasn't what we were looking for.
Also, sometimes, multiple stories are submitted for the same topic. In this case, we just go with the most comprehensive or the one that requires less work on the editor's part 12/14/2001 11:15:28 AM |
