to be fair, the students at that last real campout (myself included) ruined campout.




that shit was pretty much a riot. you can't expect something like that to go unpunished.




the unfortunate thing is, they could have brought it back by now.

that's true, that campout was a little out of hand. i remember someone's car bumper getting burned.

and the burning newspaper box on top of the Reynolds overhang...fucking freshmen that year. The next campout sucked shit...it was like 30 degrees and no generators or fire

Campout -- my freshman year was the last real year of it. I heard about the crazy bonfires in the streets (I think they were down more toward the campus theater,) but I never was around the really bad stuff. We were camped in the area by the bookstore that borders the courtyard between Turlington and Alexander. I loved the experience, but was saddened by the news that there would no longer be any campouts like what we had.
