The weeine roast thread got me thinking about something and I figured I would give it it's own thread. I dont know how many of you guys remember the G105 Big Shindig. If you dont know, it was a big all-day concert featuring multiple bands (usually 10 or 12) that had tix that were about $20. There have been some big names that played in the past and it was a lot of fun.

In recent years, the Shindig has either been cancelled or piggybacked onto an existing tour (not unlike what the weenie roast is doing). Personally, I hate both of these scenarios.

so my question is this: Would anyone be interested in seeing the Shindig return but in a smaller form? Say 8-10 bands, mostly local guys with maybe 1 or 2 name acts, playing together downtown for a street party? Similar to Oysterfest or something, but bigger.

There are no plans to do this at this time, but I was curious if it was something that would even generate interest.

Depends on too many other things -- acts, venue, time, & restrictions (i.e I remember a few years ago - Barenaked Ladies played and you could only go if you won tickets - that was super gay.)
