Office is the best but its not good for a tournament because most tournaments do not use hostage maps because how you can easily cheat on them by killing all the hostages and stuff like that. Dust2/Dust/Aztec stuff like that is a normal tourney map. 7/31/2005 8:45:54 PM |

5 of us from TWW were in a CS:S tourney at Gamefrog earlier this year. We got our asses beat by a bunch of 15 year olds. Don't compete man, those kids spend like 8 hours a day after school playing with their buddies non stop. They all carry the AWP and Deagle. If you are going to set up your own, most good ones are run like the tourney we played in...
The way this one worked was by wins. You played first to 13 wins and changed sides of the map after 10 rounds. A good tourney should always be limited to de_ maps. The rounds were limited to 2 minutes. No external scripts or mods, if you wanted to make any script changes you had to do it by hand in the 10 minutes of prep time you had before the match started.
You can set yours up like TWL or CAL. Here's a link to TWL's rules for their 5v5 ladder. http://www.teamwarfare.com/rules.asp?set=Counter%2DStrike%3ASource+NA+5v5 Their matches are a little longer but the rules go into detail as to how the match should run. 8/1/2005 10:55:02 AM |
