my computer was a bit laggy, so i chaeck ed performance, and my PF usage was at 406mb, so i just exited gds to see what would happen, and the PF usage went down to 202mb... does this program really use that much ram, or is there something going on that shoud not be?

Run it and check in the task manager (assuming you're using XP), and see how much it says in there.
