Its a free upgrade from 7, but I'm always reluctant to make the switch. 8/1/2005 7:52:20 PM |

I've been trying it out today and i like it so far... moreso than I did 7.x. Of course I'm a Firefox homer but we shall see. 8/1/2005 8:43:27 PM |

i've been using it for a while, didn't notice much of a difference. the only thing i hate about changing versions is the 30 minutes it takes me to get opera to work & look the way i like it

opera is great. All those "new" features that Firefox has, Opera already had them like 2 years ago. I don't think it's slow at all. 8/1/2005 10:41:04 PM |

Since I have firefox, I haven't bothered with Opera. While I did have it, it was better than anything else out there. 8/1/2005 10:54:22 PM |

I like opera...its mouse gestures are much better, and it had the fastforward and rewind stuff... 8/1/2005 11:15:11 PM |

I still like mouse guestures better than buttons. With guestures I can do everything I want two fingers. We all know that you can really only use two fingers at a time with a mouse anyways, any more requires you to lift your fingers and search for buttons 8/2/2005 12:57:43 AM |

What does that do? If it's the one built in to Opera, doesn't it suck? Maybe I'm missing the point of it
But Opera 8 is pretty good. I don't really notice many of the enhancements from 7, other than a slightly different looking GUI, which I changed to match the layout of their older versions (ie: main toolbar at top for front/back/refresh).8/2/2005 7:22:41 AM |

I tried to configure opera, but I found it more difficult than changing firefox configs. And I couldn't find nearly as good of a way to have the functionality of adblock. I couldn't even find a theme I liked. Disappointment, but maybe 8 is better... I may give it a try this month when I get a chance. 8/2/2005 8:29:52 AM |

So I am trying Opera 8. What is the deal with the keyboard shortcuts? They seem very illogical.
