Its a free upgrade from 7, but I'm always reluctant to make the switch.

I've been trying it out today and i like it so far... moreso than I did 7.x. Of course I'm a Firefox homer but we shall see.

i've been using it for a while, didn't notice much of a difference. the only thing i hate about changing versions is the 30 minutes it takes me to get opera to work & look the way i like it

opera is great. All those "new" features that Firefox has, Opera already had them like 2 years ago. I don't think it's slow at all.

Since I have firefox, I haven't bothered with Opera. While I did have it, it was better than anything else out there.

I like opera...its mouse gestures are much better, and it had the fastforward and rewind stuff...

I still like mouse guestures better than buttons. With guestures I can do everything I want two fingers. We all know that you can really only use two fingers at a time with a mouse anyways, any more requires you to lift your fingers and search for buttons

What does that do? If it's the one built in to Opera, doesn't it suck? Maybe I'm missing the point of it

But Opera 8 is pretty good. I don't really notice many of the enhancements from 7, other than a slightly different looking GUI, which I changed to match the layout of their older versions (ie: main toolbar at top for front/back/refresh).

I tried to configure opera, but I found it more difficult than changing firefox configs. And I couldn't find nearly as good of a way to have the functionality of adblock. I couldn't even find a theme I liked. Disappointment, but maybe 8 is better... I may give it a try this month when I get a chance.

So I am trying Opera 8. What is the deal with the keyboard shortcuts? They seem very illogical.
