whenever i try to connect to my router using wireless, i always get a limited or no connectivity and sometimes it just waits and waits for the router to respond when i try to connect to it. i have the ssid the same in the router settings as i do for the wireless and the passwords are the same. i can however connect find if i use an ethernet cable. does anyone know how i can fix this??

oh, i also tried the ipconfig/release and ipconfig/renew and that got me connected but as soon as i rebooted, i got the same problem again

this may sound strange, but is the network name the default (for linksys routers, at least) "linksys"? If so, change it - to anything else.
My wife's Dell Inspiron Centrino will not connect to networks names "linksys" - we've confirmed this on several wireless networks. But as soon as you change the network name, it works fine. who knows....?

make sure the router is configured to use b or g wireless, depending on on what kind of wireless card you have
