Sweet tea is very easy to make. How can you "miss" sweat tea? I hope you're not missing cooked pasta.

I drove through East St. Louis en route to KC... and I was like... oh my God... is this what the mid west is like?

I do make sweet tea... but I miss the ability to get it at any restaurant. In NC, you can get it at a mexican restaurant, chinese, italian, anything... here, you get it nowhere. They look at you like you're an idiot when you ask for it.

^i agree, making it at home is not the same as being able to get it at any restaurant at any time

True, and while they do have some decent beef barbecue (albeit not NC barbecue, and most places baked beans were terrible), barbecue without sweet tea is just wrong.

Absolutely. I really don't understand why sweet tea isn't everywhere. It's cheap, it's good... I just don't understand it.

I agree completely with abonorio. Yeah, MathFreak, it's very easy to make sweet tea yourself. But it's nice to sit down at any restaurant and not be looked down upon for asking for sweet tea. It's the southern hospitality I miss the most actually.

The missouri river separates Kansas City into two, as well as the state line for Kansas/Missouri.

That is the dirtiest shit I've ever seen. I would thirst to death before taking a gulp of that.

true but misleading...wayne county(detroit metro) comes out to about 51% white, and the average salary jumps quite a bit

So this weekend in KC, it was like 65 - 70 degrees... someone tell me that it's cooled off for the year here...

I don't know what I'll do if that's the case... that was the shortest summer ever...

My dept. went to Jason's Deli for lunch yesterday, and I was happy because they are one of the few places in Denver that has decent sweet tea. I tasted their "sweet tea" and it was nasty as shit. I poured it out and told my co-workers that it sucked. My manager got all snotty and said to everyone else "she's just not used to Colorado sweet tea." WHAT THE HELL IS COLORADO SWEET TEA????? Unsweet with a sugar packet poured into it?

They have sweet tea at the arby's in Kansas City and surprisingly, it's drinkable.

I do drink unsweetened tea alot and that led me to start drinking black coffee as well.

I miss my sugar calories...

I just know that Raleigh is hummin along... the bojangles line is out the door... they even set up that tent outside for tailgate specials... the red flags are hanging out of people's cars... the excitement when you're pulling into the gravel lots... the smell of pig, chicken, burgers, and beer... man I really wish I were there.

I got a 154 on the LSAT... I'm applying for fall 06... i really don't feel like taking that test again... you think I'd get in somewhere? I got a 3.5 gpa in engineering from state.

i got a 154 twice, and i got accepted by the bottom 3 of my list of 7. i wasn't very happy with that, but i'm not going to go through the LSAT again, at least not for 5 more years when my old scores no longer exist.

[Edited on September 5, 2005 at 2:31 AM. Reason : forgot ... i had a 3.8 gpa undergrad at State]

i recomend you take it again abonorio, the competition is extremely tight now for law schools, they are doubling and tripling their applicant pools every year,

but that all depends on where you want to go

I'd rather take an anal exam than take that test again... I want to go to Ole Miss (where the median score is 153)... I think I have a shot there and it's actually my first choice (well, my realistic first choice... I would love to go to UVA... but I don't think that's happening with a 154).

good luck, got only a few points higher than you, and if i had to do it all over again i wish i had another crack at that damn test, but i looked at all those averages as well and got a little overconfident, did not get in exactly where i expected to

good luck with old miss, that is a beautiful campus

I got a 167 (or 8 -- can't remember off hand) and got DENIED at UNC but got into Northeastern (my 2nd choice).. I only had a 2.9 GPA though

I'm applying to NYC schools though because I want to work on Wall Street after I'm done in the corporate world.

GPA was bad.. I'm SURE they had much better GPAs.. I stayed in Engineering far too long before I switched majors and it killed it..

I don't really mind. I wanted to get out of this area anyway and being denied at UNC made my choice to do that easy..
