And how do I remove it
1993 Accord Noticed that wax remover removed some of it but scared that it might be causing more damage. 8/6/2005 4:44:04 PM |

looks like your clearcoat has fled and your paint is oxidizing. You cannot remove it. 8/6/2005 4:45:39 PM |

time to drop a big block in it and primer it out
it's the only solution. 8/6/2005 4:46:39 PM |

You can remove anything you want to.
Looks like it is your clearcoat that has left the building partially. That is what the flaking stuff is, unless a Pterodactyl flew over it and blew a load.....8/6/2005 5:23:27 PM |

get some rubbing compound, polish the hell out of it, and then wax it, it will still look bad, but it will blend in a little better 8/6/2005 6:04:00 PM |

the best thing to do is leave it alone and save the $ to have some new paint sprayed on 8/6/2005 11:20:51 PM |

^I think that's what I'll do. Will waxing the rest of the car regularly prevent this from happening further? 8/6/2005 11:45:41 PM |

^doubtful, but it might make it less noticable
Works Great! And washes right off for an easy cleanup! Seriously, alot of stores won't stock it anymore because you can watch it wash off the first time it rains. It's great for making an old car look good as you put it beside the road to sell it though. 8/7/2005 12:23:52 AM |

Welcome to one of the famous problems of early 90's cars, the disappearing clearcoat. Either live with it, or get the car painted. Sorry, there isn't really much you can do. 8/7/2005 1:09:01 PM |
