Anyone got a SONY NW-HD3 20 GB Walkman???....thinking bout buying either a new sony or an ipod mini. I had 5gb gen 1 for past 3 years. I was just wondering if other mp3 player harddrives are as durable as Ipod's. I dropped my old one on too many osccasions to even keep count....still worked fine after all that time.....FUCK that battery though

Having used both I would have to say that they are both very well made. I personally would go with the sony because it is much smaller then the ipod and slightly smaller then the ipod mini. But if you want something sleek and stylish then the ipod is for you. Just personally preference both are quality products.

my friend had both and gues which 1 he sold ?? the sony does look good and is a bit smaller. it also hold a bit more bc of sony's compression (attrack or somehting) but it's sort of a pita to convert all ur ish from mp3 to it. i'd say stick with the ipod i like it beter than the sony.

You STILL have to use SonicStage software with the sony and iTMS with the ipod.

iRiver is drag and drop.

I have a friend with an HD120. He says drag and drop is cool but folders do not make good playlists since you have to make a duplicate of a song if you want it in more than one playlist.

Yeah, if you don't want an ipod photo then the iriver is pretty cool. It's relatively simple and sleak and I like mine better than my 6 gig mini. The FM tuner is a nice feature too, if you care about news and sports that is.
