these dudes, along with the avett brothers and valient thor were all art and design students with me at ecu. their band is ok. not as good as the other two or the capulets for that matter.

Good band. Friends with all of them, best friends with one from middle school on up. 'Tis a good band, but once you've seen the schtick three or four times, you've seen all the moves. Some of the songs are quite good, though. I prefer Valient Thorr for no-holds-barred ass-rocking.

^the singer, Herbie, was one strange dude. I remember seeing him when I'd be in the art building late at night working on shit. he did some WEIRD fucking paintings too. not very good ones, but very strange. I love that one song "running the gauntlet" about driving down 264 from greenville, haha.

My favorite Art Lord moment was two years ago at the Design School Halloween Bash. Art Lord is playing, and between songs Sam goes into one of his spiels. All of the sudden, a girl on the stairs at the side of the pit screams, "Oh my God! I know you! You're Sam! You go to ECU!" His response: "Um, no, you are mistaken. I am Locke Ernstfrost, the Art Lord," *more screaming*, "no, miss, you are mistaken. I am not from Greenville, I am from Germany. Yes, Germany. Germany, Ohio. I'll talk to you after the show, okay? OKAY BUBBLE BABY!"

I heard Valient Thorr is going to be filming a video in raleigh later this month and needs extras. I heard all you have to be willing to do is sit around and drink beer all day. I can do that!
