I thought 6th and Vine had a decent wine selection - it's not Nobles - but I like what they're doing and I don't smell like a hooker's ashtray when I leave

I will go out, when there is something worth going too. I don't find Burke street with the two other regulars on Tuesday night all that appealing. Don't you need to get punched again?

Everyone in my building is older (Sara Lee is rather large and there are people my age I just rarely see them), the next closest is 28 but she is married and acts like she is 50.

Downtown sometimes has events but now that fall is here I'm not sure they do as much. There are a lot of parks and Greenways to go to during the day time. Pilot Mtn. is nice. Some of the bars are ok. That Relish magazine has a list of events; comes out on Thursdays.

I just moved here a year ago so I don't know too much I have tendency to think of excuses to go to Ral/Dur/CH instead.

most of the people i work with are married too and have children so they don't go out. either that or might as well be married b/c they are attached at the hip to their sign. other. w-s isn't really a good city for singles

Yea this city doesn't seem like it has the best singles scene. I live and work close to the downtown festivals and I'm never impressed with the turnout. Most of the people who do come bring thier families.
I wish a few more bars would open up on fourth street...

I also find it a bit wierd to hit a bar to try and meet new people, especially the types of bars they have around here. After spending the last couple years in big cities I'm finding this transition tough.

Yadkinville.... That's the widespot in the road between W-S and North Wilkesboro....

It is a nice place to stop for gas though on the way home...Wilkes County has always had higher gas prices....

It's really not a bad place to work considering your major.... I worked for the DOT when we built the interchange for UNIFI.... I haven't been that way in a few months, but I can't wait to get home next month to see my family....

North Wilkesboro. I grew up there, moved to Raleigh for college, and now I live in Kure Beach.... I've done quite the cross-state migration....

I really miss living in the Foothills sometimes.... I miss the scenery. The hills, the tall trees, and basically any type of change in the topography. It's soo flat down here, except in downtown Wilmington where I work, where there seem to be plenty of hills. Here's hoping I get to come home soon.

went to Hanes over the Thanxgiving break. Nice stores.... I forget the names of them all, but they all sell "brat clothes." One was Rue 21, and some of the others were just awful names.
