Every track he's done on a Ruff Ryders album, a DMX album, or any other collab I can remember was better than any song he ever put on his solo CDs.

this isn't even the album of the season, as I GUARANTEE that the Little Brother album will shit on this. As far as the YEAR goes, the Game's cd really takes a big steamy dump on this.

Jayz, Eminem, and Kanye are the best there is...

Some of my other favorites... Slim Thug, Mike Jones, Outkast, Ying Yang...

But who is Little Brother?

ok, I agree that little brother will be a good album, possibly the best of the year

I meant kanye's album is the best so far this year...if outkast puts out another album before the end of the year then they will prob. be up there too

and also if dr. dre ever puts out detox, but i dont think that's coming for a while

the game's album was alright, but it wasnt very different from the normal g-unit album, kanye's album was more creative and experimental than most others.

if kanye and outkast's direction is where hip-hop is going then I'll be a happy man

^ahh... a man who wants filler and who considers anything different from the norm to be great, just b/c it's different, and not for it's actual quality. Good good.

man, I dont wanna hear that shit, I listen to mainstream and underground rap (I still think saukrates' underground tapes is one of the best albums ive heard), I like the kanye album because its not the same as the shit you normally hear, I'd like it whether it was mainstream or not.

just because its "mainstream" doesnt mean its not better than 95% of the stuff that comes from the unsigned artists

Seeing some of the other rap albums that were hyped and then were duds, this was a pleasent change.

50's new cd was complete garbage, I liked the first cd a lot, but was unable to find ONE track on the second that I really just loved.
As much as I like Eminem's old stuff, that new album he released was terrible, that stupid "Ass Like That" video was retarded, at times I didn't even want to believe it was him.
The Game's cd was alright, dude is very arrogant and undeservingly, but I think it plays well with his music, decent album but not anywhere in contention with "album of the year".

At first glance I thought the new Kanye cd had a few good tracks and then some that I didn't really like too much, but after a few spins I'm starting to like it a little more each time. He does have a different sound, and I know some people don't like it and that's cool, but I like the sampling he does and the voice effects and stuff. Outkast is doing some different stuff too but aside from a few songs on their last album I wasn't a major fan of it though it was critically acclaimed.

Do I think this is a good second album for Kanye? Definitely, stays strong and still trying some new things, I really like the "Gold Diggers" track with Jamie Foxx doing the Ray Charles impression. The skits are ok, they are much better than the old Eminem skits with Ken Kaniff and all that crap.

Is it the rap album of the year? Kinda hard to tell, so far I'd say it is, but the year isn't over, and I don't really know that Little Brother guy and I'm sure I won't ever hear him unless I download his tracks so it's highly unlikely that it will win album of the year except in your hearts, haha.

Guess everyone better get use to Kanye, with a second album like this and the hype surrounding him, seems he'll be around for a while.

wrong. you should get familiar especially since they're from Raleigh-Durham, and they're signed to Atlantic which happens to be a major label. Also, the editor in chief of the source resigned his job because he was gonna rate their album 4.5 mics but benzino wouldn't let him, and made him change the rating to 4 mics. And they've done a track with kanye, their producer did 2 songs for destiny's child, one of which was a single, as well as a track for jay-z.

http://www.littlebrothermusicinc.com/

launch the e-card and preview the album. shit already sounds better than kanye's.

Well, with a singular name like "Little Brother" I presumed it was one guy, but after looking back at that picture I see that it APPEARS to be 3 guys, and one looks like Biz, haha.

Wu-Tang CLAN is plural, much easier to see that there WAS more than one person in it.

Watched the video they have, sounds alright, hope the rest of the album is better than that though if they want a shot at "album of the year". But if they have Jay-Z and Kanye helpin' 'em on some tracks, then I'm sure they'll have better tracks.

I'll support them if only because they're from the area, but until I hear the whole album, I'm not going to predict this to be album of the year.

And you can revoke whatever you want, ain't gonna stop me from listenin to what the hell I want to, haha.

Dang, Kanye is helping a LOT of people, I'm still waitin for him to step way outside and cut a track with Coldplay, haha, that would be hot.

oh, yeah I definitely know what you mean.

Like LB's album can't be classic if Jay-Z or Kanye don't hop on it? Fuck that. Trust, LB is your favorite rapper's favorite rappers.

Some bullshit politics kept 'em from 4.5 mics in the Source and a XXL in (well) XXL.
