Anyone catch this show? I just saw the Mongolia episode and really liked the premise. The host lives with 'native' tribes and becomes as immersed as possible (in a short period of time). He goes through an African rebirth ritual in the next episode, involving hallucinogenic substances... and from what I understand, in previous episodes he hunted with cannibals, went through a scarification ritual, drank blood and had his penis inverted .

Not to mention he almost cried when they stuck that reed through his nose in the cannabal episode. GREAT television. He's got some balls to be living with a Sudanese family during all that turmoil there.

makes me wonder how long he can go before he catches some deadly jungle disease; of course, he may not do any more episodes... might have to check the bbc for anything new, i think it aired in england in january

man i wish i could take some of that hallucegen stuff, it reminded me exactly of how this super Christian out of body experience book called "Embraced by the light" described the way this lady felt when she went to heaven, they both said that during their "trip" they felt the pain they inflicted upon others and many of the small bad things that they did in their past. Figure it could hlp me be a better person. Regardless I thought the show was pretty cool.
